Since some theists like to say "I hope you find god someday", shouldn't we wish them luck in seeing the error of their ways?

Why do I constantly hear how y'all deplore when someone tries to force their beliefs on you, only to see you do the same thing right back?
Drop it and leave it alone. Otherwise, don't complain when others pick at you.

I look at this the same way somone who is religious ends their conversation with "God Bless you" Or "Have a blessed Day". I think what some political, religious and social fronts try to do is show the doublestandard in society. Atheist could end their convo this way but I do feel it is an arrogant way to put their feelings out their on the street. They are pushing their feelings in retaliation of feeling like they are having god pushed down their throat. From saying grace or opening an event with prayer at a social event to hearing on tv when someone accepts an award. Sometimes I do feel just like those who preach religion that their arrogance to get their views across, hurts their cause.

Better yet...find the addresses of your local chief proselytizers, be they Mormon, Jehovah's Witness or some other brand of zealot, and pop round there of an evening, perhaps with an atheist friend, and when they answer the door, ask them if they've accepted Doubt into their lives, then if they let you, explain the wonderful good news that atheism can bring - freedom, clarity and a determination to be nice to people in this life because - oh wow! - that's all there is.

If and when they tell you they're not interested in pursuing a life of Atheism, simply tell them that's fine, and that if they will agree not to share faith with you, you'll respect them by not coming round to THEIR house any more...

Or
“May the fetters binding your mind to useless things be loosened. And if then the fear of the indifferent vastness doth oppress your heart, you are free to make the knots again. But for a moment, you will have known the truth, which requires not your comfort or approval.”

Good band, Emperor... but to answer your qestion, no...

If they want to belive in god, then fine, let them do so - the problem with this religious stuff starts when you start telling others what to do.

We will all find out when we die anyway.

Yes that is a very good idea. When they say "I will pray for you" or "may god bless you" I would like to have something to come back with.
