Wind is not caused by the rotation of the earth. Wind is caused by differences in the temperature from one location to another. As the temperature in one area rises so does the pressure. This difference in pressure causes air to move to a lower pressure area.
The earth, meaning everything the atmosphere included, rotates due to the initial rotation of the building blocks of our planet. Wind farms may have an effect on local weather but it is very minor, as turbines only effect a 500ft envelope above the ground. Since wind is created by solar radiation(aka heat) we have a nearly limitless supply of clean wind energy.
The rotation of the earth is slowing down though, but it is caused by forces beyond and outside of our control. These forces primarily consist of the interaction between our planet and the moon(tidal forces), solar wind, magnetic loses, and other less significant factors.

The wind is not caused by the motion of the Earth and even if we could capture all the wind energy, it would not cause the Earth to stop. Wind is driven by sunlight heating different parts of the Earth by different amounts, so the winds are constantly being replenished by the Sun. But of course we could never capture all the wind anyway. I mean, there is strong wind at 30,000 feet, the jet stream, so to capture that wind would required 30,000 foot tall windmills. And even then, windmills do not capture all the wind energy. You can still feel the wind when standing downwind of a windmill.

.Not hardly,The earth has too much mass, besides it's been slowing down for millions of years before your question. The sun and moon create, weather and tides.Wind farms are a clean source of power as is solar power. No polluting gases,no radioactive waste to get rid of.Besides Teddy the juicer,Chappaquiddick swimmer who don't get his wallet wet, would pass out drunk again anyways.I guess her pregnant death is getting to him.Keep drinking Teddy I think you'll find the answer in the bottom of the bottle

Nope, we have solar energy resources we could utilize as well. I would love to live off the grid!

No, the heat from the sun would keep giving us plenty of energy even if we could harness that much.
