put them in a brine tank and circulate them it looks kind of like a cement truck type tank goes round and round also some peanuts they just pour the spices in then turn them....worked in a peanut factory yrs ago..might be a little different today

It's actually the shells that are salted, not the peanuts. The salt rubs off onto the peanuts just a bit when you shell them, or sometimes the salt gets on your fingers and your tongue touches your fingers when you put the peanut in your mouth.

They boil the peanuts in salty water to cook them. Then when they are dried the water evaporates and leaves the salt inside!
