I have my personal opinions about age differences, however I broke my own rules when I was 20something and my girlfriend was seventeen. We got married when she was 19. She's the best thing that ever happened to me.. I think we make a great couple.
What do you do?
Ignore them or make it a joke and play into it. Ask them "you know why I'm with him?".. "you really want to know what makes him super special?" and when they ask why.. just smile. It will make them wonder. It's fun ;) If you can't break the ice.. just say.. "coz... he's got .. a really .. big.. " put a big pause and think about it.. and say "heart"
If people are smart they wouldn't bug you about it too much.. all it will do is push you away from them more and make you closer to him. They're the stupid ones in this equation if you ask me!!!
I'm assuming you're still living at home with parents?? If I were your parents, I'd tell you my views on it and leave you alone about it. Or I'd tell you sorry, but you need to pick another boyfriend. But I wouldn't just complain about it over and over and over. That's just stupid.
Think about the real reasons you are with this person. Make sure it's real love.. not puppy love or lust. Or just having somebody to drive you around if you're not old enough to drive yet. Find the real truth.
If tiz really love.., *&$) everybody else. Live your life the way you want. Hang around people that will accept you for WHO YOU ARE. All the others aren't worth being around anyway - they're wasting your time and making your life negative instead of positive.. why bother? :)
Love like it's your last day together - every day. If I could master this, I'd have an even better marriage!!! Thanks for posting this question!!

Just let them talk, if you like him age shouldn't really be a problem. Im currently seeing a guy thats 25 years older then me, and yeah my family and friends talk about it but you have to do whats right for you, not what everyone tells you. Live life as you see fit. The only thing is if your under the age of majority and hes over, well you need to check out what legal implications are. Enjoy!

If you're over 18, it's none of thier business. Five years is not tooo much of a difference once you're around that age. If you are younger, then 5 years is a lot, so I'm not surprised that your friends and family are bothering you. What do you do? Either put up with people disapproving, or wait until you are older to date him.

You should let people get to you. As long as you are happy that is all that should matter.
My mother told this better... I don't care who you talk to because I am not the one who has to date him, kiss, have sex with or marry some day.
Basically - If you choose this person to be your boyfriend and the both of you don't have a problem with it than it doesn't matter because I would rather see you happy with a guy who is 5 years older than you than to be sad by yourself.

Enjoy the relationship. Avoid people who won't leave you alone about it. I had a boyfriend once who was 9 years older than me and it didn't bother us one bit. What's important is that you're both happy, you enjoy each other's company, there is a meeting of the minds and you both share the same sense of humor.

If you are 15 and he is 20 that is a problem. If you are 18 or older it is no body's business.

Yes, it depends on your age. But take it from a guy, some of us guys prefer women who are younger than us. I suggest, you ignore what other people are saying to you about it there, if you really care about the guy and you're 19 or older.

Only five years! Not a big age gap. When you date someone 22 years older than you, ask this question again

Guess it depends on how old you are. Are you over 18? If so who cares. I'm 30 and my girl friend is 25, never seemed to be a problem with any of mine or her friends.
