Boot into safe mode by pushing f8 or f5 while your computer is booting. Just keep tapping button then when prompt comes up choose safe mode. Go in and delete the file.
You could also push ctrl-alt-delete goto applications and if you ahve windows xp processes also just keep closing out stuff in there then try to delete it and reboot.

Try booting into safe mode and then try it. If it is used by an application the chances are that app won't start in safe mode so you will be able to get rid of it.

I used a software it sluggish in the past talked approximately as Winundelete. you're able to additionally use Photorescue or the FAT32 version of GetDataBack (for Win98 FAT32) as there is likewise an NTFS version. Photorescue is in all probability the final and that is not that high priced, the two $20 or $30 downloaded - I actual have it and it gets photos lower back even from reformatted digital camera enjoying cards. I used it and additionally GetDataBack to get better approximately 160GB of data from an exterior trickypersistent that lost its itemizing. you're able to desire to place in this technique on yet another pc and then connect the diskpersistent containing the photos to this pc. you are able to in basic terms get better the photos to a distinctpersistent so that's functional. For me, Photorescue has proved itself time and time lower back - even beating Norton's WipeInfo to reconstruct photos... even in spite of the indisputable fact that the 'government Wipe' version of WipeInfo run 5 cases is sufficient to wipe the digital camera card clean.

Can you rename it?
Find out who is the administrator of that computer, and ask that person to log in and delete it.

exit out of any programs that are using it. then wait for a minute or two. then try to delete it again. if this doesn't work, log out and log on and then delete it.
