I think it depends on the person. If the person has an addictive personalty, then yes they will become addicted. I like to smoke weed now and then, i think it is gods gift to the world, if you have a medical problem like cancer or eye diseases it can work wonders. I think some people just have a addictive personality and do get addicted to anything they try to do socially, drink , smoke, eat ect.. I am glad I don't have that problem!!!

Based on scientific studies, the plant itself is *not* addictive. However, the feeling can be addictive. Just like any feeling can be addictive.
So, you may not get physically addicted to the plant or smoking the plant, but you can get addicted to the feeling it gives you.
Another thing to remember is the fact most pot is combined with other chemicals prior to going to the street. You aren't getting a pure dried plant. If they use an addictive drug in it, it could be addictive.

Your body does not disolve THC, like alcohol and many other drugs. THC is absorbed in your fat tissure and stored primarily in the tissue around your brain. People do not go through withdrawls with THC becuse the body can not get rid of enough of it in a short period of time. Drugs like alcohol, your body gets rid of very quickly and that withdrawl can give people the DT's. There are many unknown long term effects of THC in the body, and it is with out a doubt mentally addictive. If you use, use in moderation. Your body can only get rid of less than 2 joints a week at 3% THC. The normal street level of THC is 12% now a days.

Cannabis' physiological addictiveness hasn't been proven yet.
But it's psychologically addictive which is just as difficult to cope with.
It also will cause you tolerance, which means you will have to increase the amount you smoke to get the same amount of ''X'' state which will be damaging your body more and more as the time goes by.

No. The plant itself is not addictive. It's in the mind of the user/abuser.
