My friend just found out she has been lied to her whole life....her birthday is not what had thought all her life. Her parents died when she was young and she was raised by another family member under false and harsh conditions. The thing is that she is not a Us citizen...so how can she find out when she was born and then become a US citizen?

she can look for her birth certificate. it would usually have the date of birth or find the hospital that did the delivery. maybe to get into the US, try the lottery where it's like winning a chance to come to the US or ask your local immigration agency on what you can do.

She's got a tough road to walk, maybe a first step would be a call to the hospital, they might have some tests they could do, and as far as real parents etc...that sounds like a neverending string of question marks to me....probably going to involve at least one lawyer...let your fingers do the walking...

Tell her to go to the immigration office - they'll probabbly have something there. Her parents SHOULD have some kind of birthdate or something, unless they're total jerks (which they sound like they are).

First though tell her to find out what country she's from and if she was leggaly adopted she should have some record

Your friend could be in serious immigration trouble if she can't prove that she went to the US legally. She really needs to consult a good immigration attorney (there are plenty of bad ones)

I think they have Carbon 14 dating for that.

Seriously, she can contact a genologist or a lawyer or a private investigator - she'll be fine.

Might not happen for free though.
