I find it very hard to be mean to people, even though other people clearly have no problem with being mean to me. Here's how I said goodbye to someone who caused quite a bit of hurt:

There was a short period after we parted ways, where she began talking to me again, and I had the idea we were going to get back together; except she later claimed she had found "the one" (eugh) a few months earlier. At the very mention of "the one" I bailed on her.

Then for some reason, months later, I decided I wanted her as a friend if I couldn't have her, so I made contact with her via SMS. After a while she wouldn't respond at all to my messages. At the same time I was preparing for the New Year, where I made a resolution to discard all negative influences in my life.
So just after midnight on NYD, I sent her one last message before changing my SIM card: basically telling her that I hoped she eventually would grow up and face responsibilities, rather than ignore them like most girls do, and that I pitied her more than I disliked her. Since then I've also discarded my old MSN Messenger account; the only way she could contact me, if she was someone worth caring about, was through e-mail.

That's me!

This guy I was dating didn't get the hints I was giving like telling him I don't have time to see him or when he called my roommates said I wasn't home. Anyway I finally set him straight. He called and I answered and in a pleasant voice I asked him to do me a favor and he said sure I then said lose my - - - - ing number and hung up! I know that was mean-I was young.

Said Nothing and moved on, didn't answer his calls, didn't explain just stopped talking to him and I've thought about him for 7 years now wanting to tlak to him and apologize, even tho he wouldn't even care but to soothe my heart and know that I was able to tell him how I felt. And what I was thinking at the time. I wish I would see him but I know he has a family now and wouldn't want to interfere with that.

The meanest...LOL I've got a good one....

My girlfriend at the time, well her mother had cancer. I asked her to go to the beach with me. She declined and said she wanted to stay close by in case something happened to her mother. Well she went to the beach anyway...with another dude! Wouldn't you know it, her mom DIED while she was gone!

I told her that it was bad karma to use her mother in a lie so she could cheat on me and she caused her mother's death. Then I was like FU, bye *****!

Sorry, I just like your sister more... haha Just kidding.
The meanest I've been I guess was when I told a girl that she was boring and that I'd rather wash dishes than go out with her.

Hmmm.... I haven't had to be mean to break up with someone, but I could imagine it would be somewhere along the lines of, "I boinked your sister."

I did have to be mean to get rid of a stalker. I told him one BAAAAD date does not constitute a relationship, I didn't love him, didn't even like him, and that if he continued to follow me around I would bounce his face off the pavement until the struggling stopped.

Listen to "50 ways to leave your lover", by Simon and Garfunkel, that'll give you ideas.
