Close your eyes. take a deep breath. and then find comfort in God. it's quite easy. just read some of the New Testament and you will instantly feel his loving embrace. but everyone has stress. you just have to find a way outo f it.

I Ask the holy spirit to help me.
Yes I know this sounds corny, but it never seems to fail.
Several years ago I read a book that suggested this. I thought it sounded like nonsense and promptly forgot about it. Something happened that was very stressfull and I was laying awake thinking about it.
I remembered what I had read about this holy spirit thing and tried it. I kept obcessing about the problem but each time I did, I would ask the holy spirit to help me to see the whole thing in a way that would not make me so miserable.
Pretty soon I was waking up and it was morning. I had a completly different outlook on the situation and I knew that everything was going to be ok.
Trick is, you need to have faith in the ideas ability to work for you. Nothing can help, if your minds is made up that nothing is going to help.

Give myself more to do so that I don't have time to sit around and think about how much stress there is.
I'm serious.. I go to school full time and work full time and I just got another job so that I wouldn't have to deal with anything else.
Also I like to sleep. Keep a good schedule going and everything else will leave. Hanging out with friends on the weekends helps, drinking with them and having a good time.

Elisabeth Elliott said this after her husband was killed:
"Just do the next thing".
This is a healthy response to stress, depression, and lot of other things.

exercise, drink green tea, and basically try to avoid the things we generally instinctively do when we're stressed out like eat, drink etc

I focus on one thing at a time, take time for myself, and remember not to sweat the small stuff.

examine why I'm attracted to it, why I bring it into my life. and decide to do what it takes to stop doing that.
