It is not the quantity consumed, it is the reason for the consumption and ones actions while drinking. If you need a drink, you may have a problem and should seek help. If you become abusive to those you love, or care for, or find that your drinking is a way to help you cope with your life. You may also wish to investigate why. However, a couple of beers, or a glass of wine or two daily is not necessarily a indicator of alcoholism. But , check your reason for drinking and see.

Yes it is considered that way. An alcoholic is a person that cannot go through a day without drinking, and have to have that one drink. It does not matter the amount you consume, it's the consistency that matters. So if you take one drink everyday, and you just must have it, you are an alcoholic. Alcoholics never want to admit that they are, it's just like a drug addict or even someone who lies constantly. They all want to think that nothing is wrong with them, until reality steps in. So I would think that if you drink everyday , you are in fact an alcoholic..This is the facts!!

No...it's the reason you drink, not how much or how often. You can drink a case of beer daily so long as you don't ever NEED the beer. The instant you NEED the beer you become an alcoholic.

Yes.
Try not drinking for one month and if you can do it without any urge to go drink, then you may not be an alcoholic yet :-)

The French frequently drink a glass of wine with dinner
so if yo u're not drinking yourself into oblivion every night, and the drinking isn't adversely affecting other areas of your life, wouldn't worry about it

no, having a drink at dinner is not being an alcoholic. Like say you had a glass of wine at dinner, your an alchi now. No a true alcoholic like my dad, eats drinks and sleeps beer and such, works and drives with it in his system.
that's a true whino god rest his soul.

No unless your getting hammered. A drink or two a day is not bad but drinking to get wasted and forget everyday is not good.

Not necessarily but if your goal is to drink until you're not aware of your surroundings or to escape your life for a bit, I'd be concerned. Also, if you feel as though you "need" to drink daily, then I would be concerned of that, as well.
