Many answers here have been very far off track concerning the Muslim belief.
You are right, we do believe Jesus (as) will return to guide us and fight the anti-Christ, he is the Messiah. The only disagreement between Christians and Muslims concerning Jesus is that we do not believe he was God or son of God, that there is only One God, he has no partners, and none compare to Him, He does not beget nor was He begotten. Jesus is a very highly respected prophet in Islam, and worked many miracles, but those miracles were not of his own will, rather from God.
To your question, why don't we celebrate Christmas. Well, many factors play into this. One is that we do not celebrate the birthdays of prophets, nor that of our own. Many have within the recent years taken to birthday cakes and parties for kids, and one sect has began celebrating the birthday of Muhammad (saws), but these are innovations and not pure Islamic practice. Another issue is that we do not know the true date that any specific prophet was born. Even Christians say that Dec 25 is not the actual birthdate of Jesus Christ, and have estimated I believe to be in the summertime. Yet another factor, as was mentioned above, is that present day Christmas celebrations have been mixed with pagan practices and have become commercialized, and is barely a religious practice anymore.
Many Muslims who converted and have Christian families still attend dinners and family gatherings as a means of keeping close ties with family (Islam commands to keep good relations with family no matter what religion they belong to), but do not participate in religious activities such as mass or church.

We Muslims do not say that Jesus will be our saviour during the end of days (where did you get that?). We believe what is stated in the Qur'an about Jesus, including:
Jesus was a prophet of God.
His birth was miraculous.
He did not die, but was raised up to God.
He will return.
We don't celebrate Christmas because there are two celebrations that are sanctioned in Islam: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Additionally, most of the practices you see on Christmas come from pagan traditions, not Biblical teachings. December 25 could not possibly be the birth date of Jesus. The list goes on and on...

Today, many of the pagan uses are reflected in Christmas. Jesus was born in March, yet his birth is celebrated on 25 December, the time of solstice. The Christmas celebrations end the 12th day of Christmas (6 January), the same amount of days that the return of the sun was celebrated by ancient and Roman pagans. It thus is no surprise that Christian puritans - or even conservative Christians - often are upset that Christmas "is not as religious as it was meant to be," forgetting that Christmas was not celebrated at all until fairly recently.

Muslims believe that Muhommed, not Jesus, was the One True Prophet of God (Alah). They do not believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah. So they would not celebrate Jesus' birthday. A large percentage of people celebrate Christmas, but they do not celebrate Jesus Christ as the Messiah.

All Muslims must respect prophets equally. Jesus or Issa in Arabic(SAW) is highly respected in Islam. Issa (SAW) was mentioned in Quran so many times. Muslims believe that Jesus (SAW) is human like Muhammed and all other prophets. We are not to make distinction between any of the Prophets. Celebrating the Prophet's birthday is bida (an innovation in the religion); the Prophet Muhammed (SAW) did not instruct others to do it, and he didn't have companions around him doing it and then give any type of permission (including silent permission). So, we, Muslims are not even supposed to celebrate Muhammad's (SAW) birthday, neither can we celebrate Jesus' (SAW). Nevertheless, Muslims are supposed to wish their christian neighbours, friends, colleagues... merry Christmas.

I'm a Muslim & we Muslims believe Jusus(PBUH) to be one of the Allah's most revered and beloved prophets but we don't celebrate any of the prophets birthdays as Allah has not commanded us to do so. We do everything that is mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Quran doesn't ask us to celebrate anything kind of aniversary(true muslims don't even celebrate Prophet Mohammad's(PBUH) birthday). By the way, we don't think that 25 Dec. is the correct date of his birth.

Muslims do celebrate the birth of Jesus. It is not prominent beacause they do not celebrate the way christians do. Try to follow the teachings of Jesus is the real celebration.

Islamic terrorism is inspired by Islamic teachings. We can never get rid of Islamic terrorism unless we defeat the ideology behind it and that is Islam itself. Islam induces hate backed by lies. Muhammad was a terrorist by his own admission. All Muslims, to the extent that they follow him, are terrorists. Those Muslims who are not terrorists are ignorant of Islam and are not good Muslims. Fortunately they are the majority. We need to rescue them. If you are a good human being, you are not a Muslim. Read this site and if you can't prove me wrong, which you certainly can't, leave this deceitful cult of hate and terror and join mankind. Don't be part of the Umma. Umma is fascism. It is divisive. It induces the hatred of others. Be part of humanity instead. Your ignorance is not an excuse. Pull your head out of the sand and face the truth, like we did.
