I think we should do these things anyway, but it would just be nice to not have to hear how great christians are because someone built a hospital and stuck a saint's name on it.
This way, when they tell us we are going to hell for being non-believers and we point out our hospital, and they STILL condemn us, we can really have a good laugh.
Why should they get to prance around like they are so moral? Let's out moral them.

Lucky Beetle: Yes, of course. But shouldn't we have "Atheist's Love Family Hospital"? Just trying to make a point.

Saint Ludd Hospital
Many hospitals the lay out is in a cross shape, because from an airplanes view the building looks like a cross. If an air attack would occur the airplanes know the building is a hospital and they won't blow it up.

Is that way you do things, to annoy people?..you should do good works all your life, help those in need.....there is nothing wrong in believing in and having compassion for your neighbor..building a hospital is but one of many things that helps to spread good works...then when you build your hospital and it is completed, put your name on it! Christians have weaknesses too, that's why there is a Christian faith, it tells us that we are not perfect, but there is a God who still cares and loves us anyway.

Is this post a question or is it a statement from yet another mindless Atheist? Once again, Atheists come into the Religion and Spirituality area. Just like they do in Yahoo Chat. Atheists are like insects. They are a pest!

Out moral them? Are you even listening to yourself?
Even when you suggest doing GOOD, it's just for the cause of being BETTER than someone else!
Live a good life with the morals you have set for yourself, and trust in the fate of whatever you believe. Why do you need the approval of someone else to be satisfied with your beliefs?

Go for it but watch out. Many people find God in the face of the dying and the suffering. There is an old saying, "There are no atheists on a battlefield."
Peace of Christ,

We should do good things in a humble manor not to annoy anyone, but to just be the better person in the end. We are already aware that we are the more intellegent of the two, so we must be smart enough to rise above their petty ways.

I think this is a great idea. Let's all go out and start randomly doing good and postive things. Instead of attacking people lets out good the next guy.

As a catholic I expect that most atheists do good works, just for the sake of doing them. I think everyone, no matter their beliees should do more... but if pissing off some stupid people is your motivation for doing good, then I"ll pretend to be pissed about it.

doing something with an ulterior motive only gives the people you're trying to one-up the last laugh...
in the Bible it says that good deeds alone won't get you into heaven... you actually have to believe in God and make choices in life that glorify Him
