Have you thought that maybe this is a mental voice that everyone has, and that you only call it "God" because that's what you've been taught to believe in ? Just a thought.

Paxil, Effexor, Prozac and Celexa make the voices go out of my head. Now if I could just make my cat stop telling me to kill people I'd feel fine. He hates Republicans!

There is a difference. You can hear the voice of God in your head, but also the voice of the devil and the voice of your own fleshly nature. It is often hard to tell the difference.

You can check this with the Bible. God's voice will never contradict the Scriptures.

You can also pray for confirmation. Usually this is through other Christians or a sermon you hear.

Take your time, wait on Him, and keep praying for wisdom and reading His Word.

Maybe, but I could conversely ask this - Some of you say that you have a voice in your head. Is it not God because you refuse to believe in Him?

So how is your question different than mine?

Not in our Head but in our Heart. One also must judge the voice to see if it is of God. You will know the difference.

I was never taught to belive that. I was saved by Christ a year ago April. The Lord has brought me closer and closer to Him since then. Before that I was border line alcoholic, smoked pak and half each day and cussed like a sailor. I never felt His presence then, because I didnt know HIm. If He is truly in your heart, you will know when He speaks to you. May God bless you.

I haven't been taught to believe God talks in my head. I haven't been taught any relgion at all. But if God were talk to me it wouldn't be my head. It would be to me-not a head.

Some peoples thinks that God is a philosophical mental idea,
If God doesn't exist then every thing is allowed
According to human weakness, he invent mentally the most powerful thing, believe in its existence, refer to him, just to can continue living.
Still no one knew............................................
But it's more better for every one to believe the existence of God for his own mental sake

Son...God may reveal Himself and many ways...how you get the confirmation that He has spoken directly to you is when you read it in His word (bible)...or someone comes and say the exact thing you hear in your head....you vision or see in a dream...But He does speak.

What is it then when you 'know' without a voice, that God is part of your life?
