because the are all A$$ holes that's why, 99% of them can't even practice what they preach. And as far as God on this earth if they read their freaking bible there is a stupid bet between the angel of darkness (Lucifer) and God where neither can touch harm or help anyone without losing the bet. Look even the new Nazi freaking Pope was supposed to appear in court in the united states over charges of cover up of priest that raped young boys but mister President Bush cleared him since he's the freaking Pope. so you tell me stupid religious A$$holes should you be in yahoo answers or questioning your religious leaders.

for alot of people religion is like a fourth dimension, it is another aspect of the world that may seem irrelevant to us (who use only oor old reason to examine the world) but to them it is actualy the key that explains the whole situation.
imagain if you had been looking at a picture all your life, then someone turned it and revealed that it was made up of layers of cut card, and that most of the effects were most easily explained by talking about its extention in a third dimension you never knew it had, i think that is how religious people view the world.
personaly i am a materialist, and an atheist so i find it all a lot of hot air, but i think you have to have some sympathy with them, asking them to stop being religious nuts is like asking a marxist not to explain economics by reference to the dialectical interaction of the base and the superstructure.

a suggestion to yahoo answers to create an atheist forum section might be a way to go.
Not to be hateful, pushy or rude but your are posting questions in an religious forum I would think that getting religious answers would be a given.

they are brainwashed to the extent that even if the question is not related to religion they will give a religious answer. I used to be just as bad as them I asked for a way out of the cage of christianity. ive never felt better but i feel sorry for those that assume they are not in some sort of cage.

Because they are like addicts and it's all they can think about. Everything in their life becomes about their addiction, and they are unable to relate to anything any other way.
Note to an earlier post--he probably didn't post his other questions in the religion category, that's why he's sick of getting god-answers. I'd say he only posted this one here because it IS a question about religion.

are you asking a non-religious question in the "religion and spirituality" catagory, maybe? If not, chances are someone wants to try to preach to you inside their answer if that is their way. I accept the inevitablility of that everytime I ask or answer in here. If this is too stressful find another place to play. Sincerely, an atheist

If the question had no religious context, why was it in a religion and spirituality forum? You're going to get religious and/or spiritual answerers here!

They aren't able to think outside of their religious mindset. Everything they do or think about revolves around their superstitions. It's like when someone is stark raving crazy and thinks that Christina Aguillara is a 10 foot tall shape shifting lizard. If you ask them for directions, they might tell you, but you are definitely going to hear about Christian Aguillara.

Look at the where you are asking the questions and the questions you are asking. What did you expect?????
Ask a question in a religious area and well what did you expect???
Be very careful what you ask for, you will get it and it many not be what you want.

I know it sounds crazy, but its true people like that do absolutely no thinking for themselves. They base every decision from what to have for breakfast to how much to pay for a house on some bible tract. Nutty I know, but some primitive tribesman 2000 years ago did all the thinking they will ever need as far as they're concerned.
