Well Adam lived for 930 years, Genesis 5. Because of sin all species suffer degradation and decay. Over the centuries sin has deformed what man's original form was and therefore each generation is living shorter and shorter. The purpose of this is that we have no more access to the tree of live that was in Garden of Eden. Sin separates us from God and eternal life that is why he promises to save us from sin if we want to be saved that is. We are polluted and we destroy the earth that is suppose to sustain us so who is to be blamed?

I think some actually were living longer than 150, but I remember something about reading that after the flood, God had shortened the years of man. More evilness today is what I think.Could you imagine the destruction people could do if they were allowed to live longer? Our permanent home isn't here anyways. Our eternity is in Heaven and life there won't be boring. You said we have medicines which is true but did you know that with new medicines we still have more diseases than ever.

actually they were made to live forever, God told them how he I made them from dirt but if they sinned they would eventually become dirt again... and they did Sin'll kill ya despite what the snake on the street says
Lesson learned, never trust a snake, but people did and violence filled the world and God restrained the evil of man by shortening his lifespan more. After the flood human life was restrained by God to be roughly 70 years
and in the first story of a person growing old after the flood, Abraham and Sarah were too old for children. The curse of aging there was a blessing given at the same time. God would turn this aging man and woman helpless ot have children naturally to have a child. In fact Abraham has like 8 kids eventually thourgh 3 wives... nother story... Abraham a childless aging man and his wife were given a promise of a descendant who the whole world was blessed and people from all sorts of nations and tribes will be blessed in the descendent of abraham,
God would do the impossible and through the man with no family would bless every family on earth.... and that what happened... NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR GOD... Jesus Christ as they glorify God leaning on the work of Christ on the cross believing for eternal life and through him people from every family on earth will be blessed and they will live alot longer than 900 years with God lemme tell ya.... they will have the adventure that never ends

To name a few reasons:
1.Pure genetic structure. No inherited genes that have been damaged by disease, radiation, alcohol, drugs, pollution, chemicals, etc.
2.Different climate before the flood.
3.No pollution.
4.More natural diet. No processed foods.
5.More active lifestyle. More physical activity required for daily life.
Other than just saying "with God's help", I believe that the pure genetic structure is the most likely reason.

Most people that believe Adam and Eve existed and have studied the life spans see evidence of shorter life spans shortly after the global flood. This could be because the atmosphere/living conditions changed post-flood and made the earth less hospitable.

You will find that there were those who lived as long as 900+ years in the Old Testament time period. God allowed people to live longer when the world needed to be populated. You make a good point, life and death are in God's hands not in the hands of modern medicine.

Actually it goes way above 150 years.
Genesis 5:22 - 27 tells us that Methuselah lived for 969 years. Things changed after the great flood in Noah's day.
Psalm 90:10 shows just how much they changed. "The days of our years are threescore years and ten...." (A score is twenty.)

Back then they also ate things that were God made and not man made. The things we put into our bodies are killing us. Just read the back of anything that you get off a shelf. There are usually all kinds of preservatives and things we cant pronounce on there. We were designed to eat naturally occuring foods. I am guilty too, but I know better. Then there is smoking and drinking, all killers. People are causing early deaths on themselves these days.

please read Sumerian texts and don't look for a religious answer.
A-Dam copy and man as it is translated was not more than a slave to mine Gold made to the image and likeness of Elohim ( that would mean a plural or two Gods). The Anunakis played with our genome, so we have 4000 genetic defects, and they got it pretty good.
When the old slave became to promiscuous they use the proximity of the Planet X or Nibiru as is known to produce the big flood, ( Noah's flood) and destroyed that specimen that became unruly.

The curse of sin on our lives has cause a massive crunch on our longevity. Death wasn't around in the original creation, we brought it here by sin. The farther removed from the original, the less a copy becomes.
