When someone you deeply care about, and have been intamate with, and shared some good times with...and then after a while, mainly due to long distance...things end. Leading up to the end, and durring the last visit, the relationship was discused, and the other person said a boyfriend is not what they need right now. The couple went their own ways... each in a respectful manner. Then several months later, the one who decided not to continue the relationship begins occasionally sending email hello's, and wondering how things are going, and being very friendly. The other person also knows how difficult, and painful their choice to end things was, because they were told so.

Sounds like she's interested in you again. That's the good news. The bad news is she may be a yo-yo. That is she may be the kind of person who really enjoys getting into relationships but doesn't enjoy the work of being in a relationship. These people will break up with you over and over until you put a stop to it.

I would say take the situation for what it is, which isn't much right now. Don't put yourself thru anything and think that just because she is saying hello or whatever that it means she wants you back. With her history, you have to start taking things literally. If she is not directly and out right telling you that she wants to get back together, then you can't assume that is what she wants. You have to play this one by ear!

the girl didn't want to hurt the guy by being so far apart. she wanted him to be happy because she knew that he deserved more. thats why she ended it. but now she misses the guy and wants him back but knows that probably isn't for the best, however she can't resist hence the emails and hellos...thats my take on it!
