I need aplan for TONIGHT -
Ok, Long story short, I told Matt that I like Jaret and Matt got all wierd being jealous like "he's a dud" and "there are other guys, you know". Matt and I are doing summer school together (volunteer work) and he came in on Mon and said he saw Jaret at a party and told me they talked for a while. But I JUST saw Jaret who said - "I saw him, but we didn't talk. I haven't talked to him in a long time".
So, my friend and I think Matt is interested in me. We have a class to supervise tonight and I need a witty to plant to find out if that is true and then get him to ask me out.
I was thinking of telling him about my convo with Jaret..
What do you think will work?
And please don't say "sex him" because if Icould do that; it would have happend already.
I am 17 and they are 18. They drive - I don't.

Okay, don't be like all gushy or sneaky.
Just make small talk today and just happen to be like, "yeah I talked to Jaret". Let him know that you know he lied to you by saying they talked, but don't make a big deal - brush over it after it's said. Smile and be yourself - not too reserved, but not too up front.
And lastly, be honest with yourself. It sounds like you want Matt so - can you do it? Find a way if you must...or let it slide. Whichever you prefer.

yeah, no kidding. Major drama. Just come right out and say it. "Matt, look. I like Jaret, but all you have to do is ask and I"ll go out with you because I care about you too. But if you're too chicken to do it, then quit being jealous. It's unbecoming of you."

If I was in your position (which is entirely impossible beacuse I'm engaged and off the market) but if I were you, I just tell him what you just posted and ask him if he was interested in you. Of simply ask why he's been acting differently. I've found that if you just come out and ask it saves a lot of time and guys seem to take that better than when girls try to be subtle and sneeky about it. Just lay your cards on the table and if you like him, tell him. the worst that could happen is that he'll say he's not interested, and if that's true, you've lost nothing because you are interested in someone else anyways, right?

Well, MEN are total gossips, they probly set you up already. So the best way to get a guy is to ignore them. In this case being the two of you have not talked in a while, yeah this is a set up. continue to ignore him and dont say anything to matt, about this Jarrett for a while and chill

that is tough =/ ... don't act like a slut... but act sweet and cute. Smile and laugh a lot, and laugh at all his jokes..... act.. flirty... but not too much. then get into your convo with Jaret... so it's a mix of flirty.. and Jaret.. kinda like you're playing hard to get in a weird way...

Okay do you want to be with Matt? I'm assuming you do so don't try that old make him jealous thing it most of the time backfires! Try casual something like Why don't we Go to the movies Friday or something like that just keep things simple guys understand that better lol!

Talking to a guy about another guy isn't the way to get his attention. It will only make him think you like to play games and most guys don't like gameplayers. Did you mean it when you told him you liked the other guy? If you didn't you need to make that clear to him. When a guy thinks you like another guy he tends to act hostile towards him at every opportunity. If he knows you like only him relations between them won't be as strained. Stop messing with the guys mind and just tell him how you feel.

Steer clear of being manipulative.... whatever it would get you would be temporary and not productive. Avoid head-games.
Be yourself... enjoy life as it shows up.
You could try being more reserved.... let him come to you.
If you would like to get his attention, look him in the eye and smile, then wait for HIM to look away before you do.

Ah...youth. If you want to know if matt is interested in you (and he is, btw) why don't you sit down with him and talk about it. I know this is a revolutionary concept for someone your age, but belive me when i say it works.
