Yes, most of mine get moody, and extra stubborn. They hold a grudge, pout, and give me dirty looks if I scold them...Yep. I would call it emotional.
But then, they stay close to me, in my home, so any difference in behavior is easily noted.

Emotional? No, that would be anthropomorphizing your pet. They do often become short-tempered and their personality (such as it is for a dog) does change a bit, and this will last till after the pups are weened.

Once they go into labor they can get very moody. The best thing you can do is to try to make her as comfortable as possible & give her privacy. Make sure no small children get around her as sometimes they get snippy even tho they may be mild-mannered the rest of the time.

I know when my dog was prego, she didn't get emotional, but she did develope a short fuse there for a while.
