This is a loaded question.

If someone says that Christians do, then is that not an atheist proselytizing?

If someone says Atheists do, then is that not a Christian proselytizing?

They both do......lol.

Let's see what it means to "proselytise."

The English language word proselytism is derived ultimately from the Greek language prefix 'pros' (towards) and the verb 'erchomai' (to come).

Historically in the New Testament, the word proselyte denoted a person who had converted to the Jewish religion. Though the word proselytism was originally tied to Christianity, it is also used to refer to other religions' attempts to convert people to their beliefs or even any attempt to convert people to another point of view, religious or not. Today, the connotations of the word proselytism are often negative but this article will use the word neutrally to refer to any attempts to convert a person or people to another faith.

Now, seeing that Atheists have gone to far greater lengths to change society into believe that (1) Abortion is not murder (2) Having sex before marriage is not a sin (3) There is no God, therefore there can be no consequences for sin (4) The Bible is a work of fiction and not the inspired word of God. And so on

I would say the Atheists have the Christians beat by far!

Thanks for proving that the world has heard far more about why it's okay to be depraved than it has on how to NOT be depraved.

Good question.

Definitely Christians

I'm not surprised by the number of people that so absolutely claimed Christians.

However, I think they might be ignoring a lot of the atheists who pose "questions" like, "Don't you know already that your religious beliefs are stupid and illogical, therefore you shouldn't be following them."

It really is a draw as far as I can see. We have a nice balance of idiotic Christians and idiotic atheists all trying to justify what they believe to the rest of the world. If you believe it, have it in your heart and have peace with what you believe. If you are on a constant mission to convert others or provoke them, you must not be very certain in your own foundation.

I keep getting told it takes more faith to be an atheist than a believer, so I guess that makes me more faithful than them.

I guess that means that everything I say is proselytizing.

Hopefully just a few strong Christians and a lot of atheists because that way we can win them over to Christ.

this site should not allow proselyting. I defend your freedom of Religion but not to force it on anyone.

I would say it is mostly the Christians provoking the atheists.

I think it is just funny. Put them both in a lion den and let them help each other survive.
