If the patient has a cough and organisms in the sputum it is infectuous, not contagious. A great many people and most physicians have a positive skin test, but never have the disease. Exposure is frequent, development of the disease in the lungs uncommon. It goes to lymph nodes and one small area of a lung and the body defeats it.
