I lost my mom over a year and a half ago, and I am still grieving and trying to deal with her being gone. But lately I have felt like crying and I haven't been able to. I hurt really bad. Does anyone think I can get sick, like muscle aches from this. (Not being able to cry when I know I need to? Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Yes. Your are experiencing some depression. Depression hurts all over. In your muscles and in your head. You should see a doctor imediatly because this could lead to suicide if it is not treated. I'm very sorry about your mom, i can't imagine what your going through. Just try to let it out until you see a doctor. It's okay to cry.

yes...even if you're not depressed to the point that you need to take medication, feeling sad is very similar to having depression, and depression hurts everywhere, not just in your heart. Try to just let it out, you will feel better, if you can't get yourself to cry with just memories alone, look at pictures, as bad as it hurts, you will feel better afterwards. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you feel better!
