Depending on your age- a lot of young people go away to college. Familes are a lot more bearable if you just see them during vacation. If you're younger, are there other family members you could visit for awhile? My sister came to visit me during an especially stressful time for her during high school.

I had to stop contact with some of my crazy family members. Now I am hanging around my husband's family members and the some of the family members I have left that are normal. I also hang around friends. You can't pick your family, but only if we could.
