Well what does he need?? You can never go wrong with towels and rags. If you can't think of something ask if he needs help with anything. Buy some decorations. Just ask him and see if he needs you to get him anything.
**OR. If your gonna stay with him you could always buy something for u to use over there. lol

I think one of the best gifts to give is a gift that will last. I would send him a small lawn tree out of one of the online garden catalogs. One that doesn't grow too big and provides shade. Then years down the road he'll look at it and think....."now that's a present that lasted" as he piles up the leaves. :)

You say he has all the electronic type things.. but what about a digital camera or camcorder? Having pics of his new house is great for sending to others who have not seen the home.

I would give him 1- a canopy covered comfy rocker/glider so that he can enjoy his yard, 2-a plant (Rhododendron, or Hydrangea) that smells sweet when it blooms, and plant the plant for him if possible! Make sure before you buy the plant that it's winter hardy to your area. Ask someone at a local nursery, they may even plant it for free. Have fun!

Get him a gift certificate to Home Depot, Lowes, just about any home repair place.
Now that he's a homeowner, he's gonna get lots of practice fixing things.

The best gift for a housewarming gift is to pay one of his house payments.
