Catholics put the New Testament together and decided on what was Christian and what wasn't. Concepts like the Trinity are a Catholic concept that Protestants follow, there are many others.
Protestants slam and put down Catholicism for some of it's practices but follow the majority of the Church's practices and beliefs.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
There's a difference between believing the Bible is a testimony of God's works and worshiping the bible. No protestants that I know pray to the Bible. That's just a rediculous assumption.
Now ask yourself how many catholics you know pray to a person who lived on earth and died, then got declared a "saint" by the catholic church. Isn't prayer a form of worship? Especially the things said in those prayers you read in the classified section, thanking some saint because you got blessed by more money or whatever? It was God's grace that allowed you to have it, not some dead guy. And yet you say protestants worship the Bible.
*sigh* I can't believe I let myself get worked up by this one.

Did you know that Catholics have a different version of the Bible than protestants? They don't literally worship the Bible in an idolatrous way,no more than Moslems worship the Koran. There are no special ceremonies for disposing of a Bible,it's just a tool to let us find God.

No Religion worships the Bible...they worship God (if there is one) and Jesus (which is not right). So far as Cathiloc and Protestant goes it's a battle of HOW TO BELIEVE. The basic belief systems are very similar it's just that worship in a Protestant denomination is carried on differently than in a Cathiloc one. Simple as that and the two sides have had wars over it...Protestants were burned for it, etc...PEACE!

I love how Protties try to claim Sola Scriptura, when the Bible doesn't even support the idea.
They use the citation, "All scripture is profitable for teaching..." HMMMMM...well, first PROFITABLE doesn't mean the ONLY source by a long streatch....
....then we must consider that at the time, the New Testament DIDIN'T EVEN EXIST. The only scripture then was the Hebrew scriptures.
And St Paul exhort Timothy to hold fast to all he has taught him, whether in speaking or in writing....
Why do they criticize Catholic?
Because they soak in the lies told by anyone who doesn't like what the Church teaches- which is the faith handed down by the disciples.
Why? Because the Catholic faith is too good to be true, and too tough to be lived. It is so easy to turn away from the challenge of what it really means to be a Catholic Christian in favor of a life centered on the false religions of materialism and pleasure.
I feel sorry for them. They have the beautiful Catholic faith right here before them, and have been lied to about it, and bought into the lies.

Catholics dogma calls the bible the Word of God as well.
I have seen lots Protestants use the bible in an idolatrous way (often steming from a theological standpoint), but never worship it.

Protestants do not worship the Bible
The apostle Paul said all scripture is God Breathed in Timothy
similatly Moses and Jesus soke of the scriptures as the word of God
Protestants and Catholics share many stunning beliefs and both should avoid God substitutes and Jesus substitutes and Gospel substitutes and cheap overgeneeralizations that may be unkind
