You may say it's 'not that simple' but it is. 95% of fatties have no glandular defficency. How can these people be worth anything if they haven't even the willpower to put down the food and deal with a little hunger?

It's the same as any other addiction. Drinking, gambling, shopping. Fat people like food.

There is a such thing as karma, so I predict this: if you ever finish junior high, one day you'll probably end up working at mcdonalds. All those stolen french fries will add up and you will one day weigh four hundred pound.

But seriously, I have a plan to make america more health conscious. Some countries have every citizen do a stretch in the military, which I support. Why not make every teenager work for about 3 months in ICU at their local hospital? My wife is a nurse, so I hear about some awful things. If they could see: someone so obese that they can't even clean themselves, a life long smoker coughing up pieces of lung, a drinker in the midst of liver failure, or a drug user paralyzed by the stroke brought on by his cocaine habit, they may be inspired to take better care of themselves.

This is in reference to stephanie M., your an idiot for trying to compare cancer and obesity. Secondly, if it was that easy for obese people to just order a side salad rather than a big mac and be content with it, we would'nt have all these fad diets thats out in the market right now. Basically what I'm trying to say is, its a matter of lifestyle change and trying to control habits and addictions. You cant convert to eating healthy overnight, you will eventually give up and go back to your old ways. The best solution to changing your eating habits is to first of all, educate yourself on whats good and bad and what the repurcussions may be if you continue on your unhealthy ways. Next step would be to slowly decrease your bad food intake from maybe 3 big macs a week to 2 or to decrease your soda intake from 2 cans a day to 1 until you feel comfortable enough to start eating healthy. Most importantly, no diet is successful without excercise....excercising promotes positive endorphines which is like a natural high which will prevent depression which in turn prevent you from being an emotional eater and turning to ben and jerry for relief...

Many use food to medicate.. Instead of a pill to feel better it is food. Comfort food is the thing for them. Some, don't over eat. It has to do with the choices they make for food. Or, some just need more activity. they have a balanced diet and eat all the right things but aren't moving around enough. Each person has their own reason for being overweight. Some could lose weight just by simply eliminating fast food from their diet. this is because fast food is the culprit of their weight gain.
Fad diets make the situation worse..
People have an induvidual reason for obesity, so the diet should cater to the reasons. And, you should only lose 1-2lbs a week.

some people are actually dependent on food. :(
Some people eat when they're bored, and some seek comfort in food. All in all, regardless of "glandular defficency" they have trouble stopping. Lots of psychological problems, etc.

That's such an ignorant question and i see there are a lot of ignorant answers too. You don't even know why some people are Heavy. Personal problems or something like that. How do you know they aren't trying? Losing weight has nothing to do with going hungry. Its just like asking Why are most skinny people anorexic? It's an ignorant question just like yours. Before you judge you should think about who you are hurting. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all.

Why do people who take drugs, keep on taking them, or drink alcohol, keep on drinking it, or smoke ciggarettes, keep on smoking it. I would say food is the hardest as the others you can avoid all together but at some point you have to eat something. The problem is the thought that one is fat feeds on the mind and sets one up for failure as if you think you are something you act like that. You have to find some way of no longer identifying those habits with yourself.

Why Dont you stop breathing or maybe stop taking up vital rescources of this planet??? You are a waste of space.

Every person needs to eat. Many overweight people dont eat enough and their bodies start storing energy as fat. If you weren't such an idiot and read something you might actually know this.

Why would you stop eating??? everyone needs to eat. Overweight people are just the same as everyone else but maybe a little larger. It may be genetics. Rethink your whole idea or overweight people and, No one is worth nothing. Got that?

I think that question could be a little hurtful for some of the overweight people out there. Maybe you should consider other peoples feeling before you ask/answer your next question.
