It's not really at Christmas. (that date just happens to coincide with an Ancient Roman gods holiday,,, the church being established in Rome and all) But it is believed that it was in the "Fall" of the year, Why ? because the Shepard were still tending the flocks at nite . So it was before the winter. And all the Inn;s were full so it is thought it may have occurred during the annual Jewish Temple Feast. So it is believed the birth happen between early September and mid October..There's more to the way it is theorized but this is the quick of it. If you'd like to know more send me an e-mail... and alittle added info The calendar as set today has about a 12 year lapse, So you cannot calculate it from 1 AD

I myself do practically believe that Christ's birthday is somewhere right around December 25th which marks the beginning of the Yuletide season where Santa Claus delivers presents to all the good boys and girls the world over. Anyhoo, on December 25th, many Christians reenact a Nativity scene which takes place on Jesus' birthday. Out from the East, the 3 wise men brought Christ 3 presents, one from each wise man. One was gold; the other one, frankincense; and the other one, myrrh.
On Christmas during Christ's birth which was the very day that the animals talked. It is according to the Bible which was definitely December 25th.

The Bible doesn't give a date an exact date for birthday. The Bible does give clues as to what time of year it was; Jesus was born in the spring, the spring was when the shephards would be out in the fields for the birthing of the lambs. The other clue as what year it was in found also in Luke the second chapter, when Luke writes about the rulers of the world at that time.

The reason we celebrate it in the winter is to having to break up the dreariness of the winter.

It was stated in the Bible but it would be around 31 BC since AD started after Jesus' death. The exact time of the year is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible but the description given is that while Mary was pregnant with Jesus they made a long journey on a donkey's back so that eliminates the cold months of the year in that region. Maybe it was near around the beginning of the summer months would be my guest.

I dont think the bible says exactly when Jesus was born. Most Christians believe Christmas (December 25th) is his birthday, however, this date was decided upon by Christian Romans taking over the barbarians in present day England. The history goes, that rather than trying to take them over, it was easier to convert them, and by making a certain tennants in the Christian religion that paralleled their own pagan religion, it would make it simpliler to incorporate them into the Roman empire, a feat tried and failed by many a Roman emperor going back to Caesar, who simply tried to conquer them.

the bible does make a reference to the shepards tending the sheep. that normally happened when the sheep were going to be giving birth, which from what i understand is around the beginning of april. since the bible doesnt specify an exact date all we can do is go by the clues left to us.

The date is not mentioned, probably for good reason. He did not accomplish anything by his birth, but by his death (date is mentioned and we are to commemorate it), he accomplished an amazing thing.

However, if you consider the context of the scriptures, it would involve a time way prior to December 25th as the shepherds were out, so it would be a warmer time of year.

The best answer I could come up with is that Jesus' birthday fell on the day he was born. Sorry, that's the best I can do. Either that or about 33 B.C.

the Catholic religion wants you to believe that Jesus was born on Christmas day. In reality, he was about 6 months old on Christmas Day. if you look in the nativity scene, he looked too old to be born on that Christmas morning.
My step-dad is an Episcopal Priest which is branched off the Catholic religion and he got a Master's degree in Religion
