I decided on the exact car I wanted before entering dealership (make & model), found out what it cost the dealer (see edmund new car prices), then go to the dealership and say
1. I know what car I want
2. I will pay cash
3. This is how much I will pay
And thats it, if dealer doesn't agree you walk. Dealer will have a change of heart. Stick by your guns and don't let him talk. Repeat the 3 demands above. Do your homework before you go. I bought the car without regard to color, transmission or accessories. Because once you start saying I want this color, this option yak yak yak.
