It seems that i always fail her. Whenever she asks me to look up something for her in a report, i always forget to. Sometimes, however, i can be a big help to her but she doesn't remember that when i fail to do something. She is grumpy sometimes and likes romantic movies, music, etc. What should i do?

It isn't up to you to make your sister happy. You can't please everyone. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Well, it would be nice to know some details such as your age differences and your interests. We all fail to do stuff for people, it's natural and you are human. Don't beat yourself up about that. She probably hasn't forgotten that you do help her sometimes, it's just that when a person is angry they forget for a short period of time during that state. What you could do if you really wanted to do something to relieve your mind is do something really nice for her or get her something she really wants. For example, if she likes listening to music and you know her favorite band maybe you can get her a CD of the band. If she likes picnics maybe you can arrange to have a fun picnic Saturday or something like that. It's obvious that you care about your sis a lot so it shouldn't be too hard to come up with something. You say she likes romantic stuff? Give her a day where you take her to see a romantic comedy at the theaters or rent one of her favorite movies and have a sibling's night! When she comes home maybe you can have a basket of romantic goods waiting for her with stuff like a romance novel, scented perfume, chocolate, a CD of some of those moody love songs (lol, not a big fan myself though), whatever you think will appeal to her. Plan it out and both of you should have lots of fun! Good Luck (P.S. Have a pillow fight if you can...they are so much fun and both of you can take out your frustrations on each other...lol)

you are being an awesome sister by trying your best to help her in all u do! Keep that up! BUT it sounds like maybe she is guilting you when u cant give her what she is expecting from you!!! The only thing you can do is your BEST and that should be enough for your sister. If not- stop doing these things for her and it will dawn on her- how much you did do and how much she needs you! Good luck

Do you fail her because to neglect to complete the task, or do you fail her because it is not up to her standards of how it should be done?

Where do you priorities lay? What stops you from doing the task? Are you resentful of her (which would mean you intentionally sabotage this) or are you lazy?

These questions need to be answered to determine where true blame lays and permit proper resolution of the concern.

Its fine that you help her. Thats really cool. Just don't let her just use you though. You didn't fail you forgot. She can't just depend on you. BUT...

You can take her out and spend the day with her. Let her know how much you appreicate her.

i'm sure that your sister loves you regardless of your faults. and i'm sure that she realizes that you are forgetful of things. just try your best and i bet your sister will still love you all the same regardless of what you do or do not remember
