Can someone be in a committed relationship and secretly have this stuff going on simply because of the excitement or addiction or is the reason they are doing it much deeper?

YES there are people here in a committed relationship and some of the people are even married who get on here and talk dirty...I think some people do get addicted to it and can't stop themselves from it...oh there are many different reasons people do it...some of the reason's do go deeper then others..some people just see it as fun and like the excitement and variety!!Some people it fills a gap in their life,some people just like talking dirty and having cyber sex....to each his own....

I was, at one time, obsessed with IM. It was not with people with sexually oriented material, but with friends I met on the internet and not in person. IM is a good tool to help someone you through tough times or yourself, not to be lonely. I used a web cam to see their reactions to things I typed and visa versa. But, I had to wean myself off in order to live a more normal life that includes sleep. Now, I have not IM'd anybody in about four months because I had met someone and now, she is my wife. I do not plan on picking that life back up, because, I have a person, in person to talk with. If you re in a committed relationship and wanting it to move forward, secrets are sometimes a hard thing to explain, especially if sexually oriented materials are involved. Good Luck!

Yes it can be an obsession and it usually means that there is something lacking in their committed relationship at home. If there is nothing lacking at home, there will be soon when the other mate finds out what is going on. Do yourself a favor and stop that crap.

it is called existence,media and many better issues. sex is taken under consideration as this warm raunchy ingredient that each and each and every individual is doing. courting is the "cool" ingredient to do. it is both you're area of this fashion or you're not from now on. it is like a way fashion. toddlers are being uncovered to this because of school, mum and dad and media. Majority of the time they're no longer receiving the most ideal ideas from their mum and dad so that they get it from different sources. At a youthful age, I wasn't given ideas from mum and dad. I realized from acquaintances and the media.

I have picked up girls on IM and yes i guess it makes you lazy. its like i can get laid with out leaving the house, going to the club or anything like that. just chat for a few a while and youre in there the key is i guess if you want sex from a girl. never talk about sex or act like a weirdo. just keep it just like you would in real time. so yea. i still do it alot

It could be both,for some people It's an addiction they dont really care who they are talking to as long as it is someone, but some people just connect and decide to stay in contact.

Yes, it can be very addicting. And while the person engaging in the activity may think they have a handle on it, you would be surprised at how hard it is to stop once you've started.
