Dork is not necessarily smart, they are usually obnoxous and have not idea how dorky they are.
Nerds are a little smarter. they now they are nerds and accept it. They usually are not nerds after college. They make a lot of$$

A nerd, is usually a smart person with a high interest in a subject area.
