I was always against having fish and then one day my now ex husband brought home a tank and a few fish. I of course was the one who took care of it and I did a fine job for a few years. I never dreamt I would become so attached to my fish. I had many. I couldn't wait to make additions. Then one day I cleaned the tank like I always did. I know I did everything exactly the way I had in the past. I just know I did but, slowly one by one they started to die. Even the sucker fish past on. I still to this day don't know what happened. I realize that I had to have done something wrong but I still can't figure it out. I'm sorry this has happened to you. I wish I could give you a reason....

Usually when one dies, others are sure to follow. There may be some type of fish virus that killed the first one. I'd suggest cleaning your tank or adding a few antibacterial drops.

Try testing the water, doing a 25% water change and poss replacing half of the filter. Talk to your aquatics shop for advice though.

used to happen to me all of the time ... i had a marine (salt water) set up and there were just a million and one things that could go wrong in that tank. everytime i added a new fish/coral/rock/whatever it seemed like a new disease was added. keep the ph right, keep salt levels right, good algae, bad algae, white spot, too much light, not enough light ... it's a tight rope.

or possible you just need to remember to feed them :)

it could be the wrong water or not the right mix of water, bad filter (or no filter), a fish disease/illness, the wrong food, the wrong plants, wrong decoration like stones they don't agree with???
I'm sorry for your loss though. Take the question to the supplier you bought them from and ask about it.

Could be any number of things really. I suggest you take a sample of your tank water to a local fish store and have it tested.

you can buy test kits at walmart or any pet shop for a few dollars. you need to check your chlorine, pH, nitrates, hardness, all sorts of stuff

also check temperature, it is possible to overfeed them, check filters

did you just buy them, pet stores and walmart usually give you a refund if your fish die in a few days. keep your receipt.
