You may be able to find a job that accomodates this schedule but I would recommend against being away from your family for months at a time. Even though you may not be able to give them everything they want, your time with them is the most valuable thing you offer. Your children need to have a father to teach them and discipline them. Your wife needs to have your affection and companionship. Being away from one another for that long of a time can only hurt a marriage. I would recommend either looking for ways to reduce expenses and making the most of what you have or moving WITH them to another place to find employment. Wish you the best.

What you need is a job in the Northern US (in New England or the Great Lakes regions) in the landscaping business. In landscaping, you will have to be laid off during the winter months (in time for Christmas until February or March), then rehired again in the spring. If you work hard and save your money wisely, you will be able to see your family for 2-3 months every year. You may eventually be able to legally bring your family to the US with you. You can then live in the southern US and work in landscaping year round (Texas and Florida are the best two states for this).

You need to discuss this with your employer. Although I don't know any employer that would allow a person to take one in every three months off. What if all his employees wanted to do that?

you can, if you find an employer that is willing to be flexible with your scheduling.
you may not be able to take a full month off...it may also depend on the type of work you are willing to perform
try seasonal work

It depends on your job. There are a lot of taxicab drivers in NYC who do just that. They work, spend time with their families, then go back to work.
You need to be in a job that constantly needs workers so that they are willing to take you back each time you return.

You would have to negotiate something like that with an employer when you're first being hired most likely.
