I have dark brown eyes but am noticing that they are getting much lighter. I have been out in the sun a lot more could that be the reason?

yes that sounds exactly why! your eyes depending on your age can also change. for example, babies (i know you're not that young) are always born with greyish colored eyes, but then they change over time.

My dark brown eyes are doing the same thing. They are actually changing to blue from the outter rim inwards. I called my doctor and he told me that it was normal.

I think its loss of pigments in your eyes and there is nothing to worry. At least that is what I am being told. I can understand eyes of hazel changing but usually dark brown eyes do not change. But then again the world amazes me a little more each day.

If you find out the real cause of the color change in your eyes please IM me so you can tell me.

The sun could be. More likely, as you're growing up the pigments in your eyes are just changing slightly.

Or, you're like me and have a radically different eye colour every day (normally green or brown) depending on what I'm wearing.

Due to the UV in the sunlight, the whites of your eyes maybe whiter, thus giving you the illusion of lighter eyes. I'm not sure, just a guess!

know whats even weirder? my daughters eyes change color. i just dont understand how that happens. she was born w/ blue eyes w/ a little brown speck in her left eye. her left eye was part brown, a little. just the other day both of her eyes were light green. i just cant figure that out. sometimes their hazel color too. it amazes me.

it could be, but some people's eyes do change colour; my nan's eyes are brown and they re turning blue from the outer rim inwards and my cousin was born with blue eyes which turned brown, then green, then back to blue.
Or it could be cataracts

Are you staring at the sun?!? Maybe you're developing cataracts. Your eyes will be completely covered in a white gelatenous glaze soon. NOOOOO!!

They could be turning hazel which is the color of my eyes. My eyes change with whatever color i'm wearing which is very cool. One day they can be brown, the next, green...I love it. =)
