what I should do with her. One, she is a cigarette smoker, and I am not...I have gotten used to it and it does not bother me, but should I tell her she must quit or I will have to move on. Second, she has a very nice body, but does not show it off...I think she should wear the newer skin tight fashions to show off her assets..She said she will do it if people on this site say so...what should I do...ask her to wear these clothes since she has the body for it..I would hate to lose her, so what should i do?

Well if she doesn't quit, are you willing to move on? Better if she can quit for herself. Bring it up in conversation sometime.

I know how she feels about showing her body, sometimes you just don't want that kind of attention.

The truth is she is who she is. You can make suggestions but only she can change if she wants to. You can ask her to quit but if this is what she did when you met her, accept it or move on if she chooses not to quit. Her assets are just that, her assets. Great body or not, she doesn't have to show them off if she doesn't choose to. Props to her for not falling into the norm. There are clothes out there that can show her curves but still properly cover her assets.

Man, you certainly are picky about someone you really care about!!! First you say you don't mind the smoking and then you'll have to move on if she doesn't quit. Now you're trying to tell her how to dress to make yourself look good when you go out. I say to HER: "girl, get yourself another man...this one is petty and controlling and just looking for an excuse to dump you". Dude, you're a chump.

from personal experience i have to say you need THERAPY.
My ex-husband is a control freak... every hour of the day (yes 24 hrs) had to be accounted for in 15 minute intervals. He wanted me to write down everything I did in a 24 hour period so he could keep track of me. I disagreed with it and never did it. Women beware of men like the guy who wrote this question. they are controling and become abusive. I know mine left bruises too. KEEP AWAY.

Tell her to quit cause it's not good for her health...and about the way she dress, i think you shouldn't comment her about it. It's her style and probably she doesn't like to show off. But you could try to speak nicely to her. I'm sure she'll understand. And don't be too pushy. Good Luck.

first begin working on a real friendship before you get into trying to change someone to your liking, which you won't be able to do anyway. you can suggest modifications to your friends if the change will indeed benefit them, but pleasee try to avoid trying to change people to meet your qualifications. best wishes
