I have several favorites. The one that comes to mind more often is I Corinthians 10:13 because it helps me have hope in the face
of trials or temptations. The trials in life can be a temptation to
pull away from your faith, or an opportunity to pull closer to God and rest assured that He is there for you. Trusting in this verse may take a leap of faith at first, but God is true to His Word and
won't disappoint. I wish I had known this verse years ago, as it would have saved me alot of anxiety in alot of circumstances. Seeing this for the first time was like finding a hidden treasure.
This verse is now part of my regular thought pattern in my own
difficult circumstances, and something I can share with others.
It is one of the verses that gives me inner peace. It works !!!
-just like all of God's promises and assurances !!!

I Corinthians 10:13: No temptation has seized you except what
is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,
He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

It’s a toss up between, Love your neighbor, and judge not lest ye be judged. Both are completely misinterpreted so It doesn’t really matter I guess.

Love you neighbor is ignored because most people see love as being something that you reserve only for those you have judged worthy of it. This is not love at all, it is only judgment. Jesus asked us to love all people, even those who did things we don’t particularly like. Few do this.

Judge not lest ye be judged is used as the foundation for the insane idea that God is a judgmental punishing God. This is the silliest idea of all. God is only love. Love judges nothing. It only loves.

The verse means that if you judge others you will invariably turn this same harsh tool of judgment on your self. If you do you will almost certainly find yourself guilty, because finding guilt is the only purpose of judgment.

I guess in the end analysis its what you do with the bible that matters. You can use it to bring more love into the world if that is your goal. Or you can use the same verses to justify your narrow-minded ideas of bigotry and hate.

The choice is yours.

Love and blessings Don

I have several favourites.

1. "the girl is not dead, but sleeping."
2. "if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also."
3. "you shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve."

I choose the no.3. as the best one - Jesus was tempted in the same way as everyone else. The first temptation was to put the satisfaction of His own needs and desires before God's wil. The second was to take a short cut to do God's work, rather than do it in God's way. The third was to grab power over people for Himself. The message is that we should not just be concerned with the end result, but also how we get there.

Corinthians 13:4- 7 love...many ask what is love? have you ever wondered why you should trust your partner or how to show him or her true love or anyone in the world for that matter? if you have doubts this verse has the answer and since love is the greatest commandment i believe all other pieces will fall in place once we practice it thus the greatest verse in the bible...Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things

Isaiah 55:8-9

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts."

Humbling to remember that we should never have the arrogance to think that we know God 100%, or even close. We must merely do the best we can with the knowledge he has granted us in our hearts.

Matthew 19:25-27

When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, "Then who can be saved?"
And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

John 1:7 Many deceivers have gone out into the world. They do not believe that Jesus Christ came to earth in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Well, here I am: your resident antichrist... I guess...
