I do not think she's too young to potty train. If she's showing all of those signs, she's ready. Really, with children, there is no "one size fits all" you have to think of her needs first and what she can handle. It seems to me, she's ready to be potty trained, or at least begin the process. If you begin, go easy on her first, let her experience success at it and she'll enjoy the process. Pretty soon, she'll be without pampers and you'll enjoy that too!

No problem. Its societal. In this country we potty train our kids much later than in other countries (i.e. "pull-ups").
Our Russian nanny told us 10 years ago that they train children as young as 13-18 months old in Russia and I did not believe her until I saw a photo in National Geographic about a child day care center in Siberia with all of the kids (under 2) sitting in a circle over bowls going to the bathroom.
It can be done!

My kids (one boy, one girl) were both potty trained by 18 months old, so no 21 months isn't too young. Start with pull-up type pants, that way she can put them on like underwear and if an accident should occur they can be taken off like diapers.

Girls are very different to boys, they learn potty training a lot quicker. Make it fun and don't stress too much about it, don't make it an issue if she still wets her nappy. When she does go on the potty cheer and clap and she will realize she has done something good. Good Luck

There's a big window for potty training. It's generally recommended anywhere between 18 mo. and 3 yr. You and your daughter can go ahead with it if you're both ready. Good luck!

no, i started when my daughter was about 1 1/2 yrs old. as long as they r willing & u think they can grasp the idea of the potty, then go for it. give ur baby some credit, girls usually catch on faster than boys. try leaving her w/o a pamper for a while or a day & watch & encourage her to go. praise & aplaud her if she does. good luck.

If you think she's ready go for it. Just be patient. And let her learn from watching you. Have her go to the bathroom every time you go. Offer rewards for sitting on the potty clothes on or off.

Not at all. I stopped by diapers when my daughter turned 2. I got her some big girl panties and explained to her she was big girl now. She peed on herself sometimes but she got the jist of the bathroom pretty quickly. I took her to bathroom with me and I actually had help. My mother and sister would as well. It seems gross but she quickly understood that Momma does it and Auntie does it and Grandma does it so she should do it too. If it's a boy and you have male figures around him then have them take him to the bathroom.
