You must go up before God and God and only God decides if you can walk through, but otherwise if you have had enough faith to believe that Jesus is the son of God, came to save us from our sins, died and was resurrected on the third day, obeyed the ten commandments to your very best, (just believe and have faith) know your sins are forgiven and go the straight and narrow path, you will go to heaven. I am not good at typing this down so go and read as much as you can about this in the Bible. The best source for your answers, and a good pastor. I know but can't help you very well on paper. God Bless you! So happy to hear you are thinking about this. We/I want to make it into heaven.

The first question you need to ask yourself is how logical is the idea that a judgmental God exists at all.

God is said to be unconditionally loving. Would not unconditional mean no conditions.

If you subtract conditions, what would there be to left to judge?

The judgmental punishing God you have been told about does not exist outside of the thought frame of those who believe in Him.

The real God simply loves you. The real God created you because He found the idea that you are so lovely, so perfect that He did not want to be without you. He did this so that He might have you to love, and so that he would have you to love Him.

For this reason, each of us are a part of God. If you believe this then you must ask yourself whom exactly is it that this judgmental God would be punishing, Himself?

Love and blessings.

If you have accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. I'ts not the good or bad you have done in your life- we are all bad by nature. In Ephesians 2:8,9 it says For by Grace are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.". So you see, you can't work for your salvation, it's a gift. Jesus died on the cross for your sins. If you accept this gift of salvation, you will go to heaven. Pray the sinners prayer and believe that Jesus is the only Way the Truth, and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me. The bible didn't say only by himself. If you reject Christ, you will go to hell. Accept Him today. Get in touch with a Baptist preacher who can show you from the Bible the truth about how to get to heaven. Read the book of Romans. we care about you. You can have a personal relationship with God, and can find true peace happiness, and contentment. You can know HIM, not just know about HIM.

It's down to belief but for the majority of religions judgement day is when all people are judged (living or dead)

You need to have a read up on the Book of Revelations.

Nah, hold a séance and ask those who've passed on, if séances work.
Do you think anyone alive really knows?
The judgement day theory seems like just another part of a method of control too.

So many people are quick to give easy explanations about where we go to when we die, and say something like, "yes... what happens is..." - as if they know.

Those who predicted, and others who believed the prediction, of the end of the world for 2000, and for previous years, certainly were left with egg on their faces.

There are two judgments, one when you die, and the final judgmenyt at the end of the world. Talk to your priest for a more detailed explanation.

You go to heaven and wait at the gates for judgment day.

Yes. Not directly. Even the Muslim know that. We will all be waiting for the day of Judgement Day. It is also what we call second return of Jesus.

Again, the Muslim also wait for Isa (Jesus) to come back to judge.

These are not my thoughts, but from my reading of Koran and Bible.

Hi, You are right dear about the judgement day?

Yes my dear friend it's mentioned in the Quran What will you be doing after you die.

1) Two angles will be coming in front of you. They will ask you questions.
Who is your God?
Who's your messenger?
What's your path of life in the world?
What's your Holy Book?

If you have answered these questions correctly. Then you are safe. If not you are gone.

And for the persons who committed suicide. The hell will be their place and it won't be changed.

Hope I answered the question ;-)

The dead are in their graves. The dead know nothing. The righteous will be resurrected at the return of Christ. The wicked will be resurrected and destroyed by fire after the 1000 years are completed. Then the earth will be recreated and will be exactly like it was before Adam and Eve sinned.
