Even i get repeated throat infections and i guess one reason could be mouth breathing. See that your throat is moist always and that should help you.

The main reason is bacteria in the throat or very dry air conditions. Drink lots of liquids and suck on hard candies or throat losenges like Cepacol. If a sore throat lasts for more than two days it might be caused by an infection and you should see a doctor.

Dry air can cause throat infections. Vitamins and the right foods boost the immune system. Antibiotics can cure bacterial infection. Viruses just have to be sweated out.

Its not a big problem. Take antibiotics, and go to your doctor though. I had one before and I was perfectly fine afterwards.
