Wait a minute guys. This is not about judging, it is about what TRUE CHRISTIANITY is.Many badname the Christianity on Y!Answers by answering unbiblically and label themselves "Christian".

I am not a Doctor.Should I be called a doctor just because I say "I'm a doctor".In this example, many would have rediculed me and said I am a liar, which would've been true...

So should "Christianity" be an exeption? On the following verse, Jesus Christ Himself praised the church of Ephesus for revealing fake believers and apostles!

Rev 2:2 "'I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false.

I am not judging anyone, the bible has judged them those who are not real Christians.

Please don't be offended or emotional...just be real.

If someone practiced some of the things that Doctors do, does that make him a doctor? Obviously not! He is either a doctor or not.O Well, he may be a nurse or even drop-out student who tried to study medicine, or a pharmacist, but HE IS NOT A DOCTOR! Actually, in my country, one fake-doctor was arrested for pretending to be a doctor...

WHY ON EARTH SHOULD CHRISTIANITY BE AN EXCEPTION!

In fact Jesus said we will know if someone is a real Doer of God's Will by his fruits AND NOT BY WHAT THEY LABEL THEMSELVES,so should we be afraid to ask such questions in fear of critisism?I

Many seem to run quickly to the popular saying of Christ "Do not judge" without to understand what He meant!

Scriptures that are suggest that "Christians" must discern between evil and good are scattered all over the bible:

e.g.1Th 5:21 but test everything; hold fast what is good.

Joh 7:24 Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment."

In this verse Christ said these words in expectation of us to judge certain things: evil and good.

What did He mean by "Don't judge".
He meant judging people by using UNRIGHTEOUS principles like looking at the colour of their skin, gender but by their works(fruits)...

If they are sinning, they must be told what God says about their behavior without to fear that people will say they are judging them!

You can not be born a Christian.

You can not be a Christian because of the way you were raised.

You are not a Christian because that is what you call yourself.

You are a Christian because you practice what Jesus taught in your daily life.

Jesus asked that we love our neighbor. Notice that there is no ---(except for)--- in this directive of his to us. He fully intended for us to love everyone all of the time. Even if we are not happy about what they are doing.

If you are aware of this and trying your best to put this idea into practice in your life, then and only then are you a Christian.

Anything else, is not the love Jesus was talking about, it is only judgment.

Love and blessings.
Your brother.

Christianity is just a label given by Godly men. We as Christians must look further than just confessing Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior even this is the most important. God wants us to be led by his Holy Spirit but mainly we must be filled also. God is looking for those who will worship him in spirit and truth and that's well spiritual baptism comes in. We as believers should not stop there. There's more to it then being just labeled a christian! God bless.

Shalom

Hi,

going to church, being born to a 'christian' family does not make you christian

Being Christian, means accepting Jesus into your life as your saviour. Being led by his Holy Spirit and most importantly, having a personal relationship with him ie reading the Bible and praying everyday.

it should be someone who is lead by the holy spirit but it isn't. most of todays Christan's believe simply going to church or reading your bible makes you a Christan but thats not true you have to live the way the bible tells you and try your best to be Christ like... but then again they dont do this either so i decided i do not want to be part of any religion at all i just want to be part of gods family and do what makes him happy... every day not just on Sundays so i would call my self what the first people and Jesus called himself A believer

Nietzsche wrote that Jesus Christ was the first and only "Christian".

All that followed were followers of the corrupted message spewed forth by Paul, and therefore can not be correctly called Christians.

The name is but a label. What is most important is, your relation with God, and your acceptance of Jesus as Lord.

Can a Muslim, who sincerely believe in Isa Almasih mentioned in Koran 3 Surah be safed? I think it is too early to comment. It is a question only God know. But I think, it may be possible for Muslim to be saved, by acknowledging Isa Almasih as Lord.

Personally, I have come across a group of people who refused to be known as Christian. They continue to be known as Muslim, but they pray to Allah thru' Isa Almasih. Are they not saved?

Way to go, edsawyer. A trait which far too many people lack.

A person who identifies themself as a Christian should be considered a Christian. Neither you, nor I, nor anyone else has authority to judge about how "deserving" someone may or may not be of that title in our eyes.
