I dont know if its bad luck or if its just me, but every headphones i buy will stop working on one side after a few months, but im pretty sure i take care of them. can anyone tell me why?

someone says i can strip the wire and uncrumple it...anyone recommend me doing that? because ive gone through 4 cheap headphones since my iPod ones were already 3 yrs old and i dont want to keep spending my money

If one of the wires becomes crimped, the set will stop working on that side. You can strip the wire and rejoin it, insulate it, and that should fix the problem. No matter how careful you are, the wires tend to get twisted and you end up with a crimp. Even with coiled wires, this sometimes happens.

in my case cause they are cheap so i just go out and buy new ones
