5. In The Bible, widows and sisters do not inherit Any property or wealth, only men do {Numbers 27:1-11}

The Koran abolished this male greed {Koran 4:22} and God protects all.

6. The Bible Allows Multiple Wives {I Kings 11:3}

In The Koran, God limits the number to 4 only under certain situations (with the wife's permission)and prefers you marry only one wife {Koran 4:3} The Koran gives the woman the right to choose who to marry.


7. "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives" {Deuteronomy 22:28-30}

One must ask a simple question here, who is really punished, the man who raped the woman or the woman who was raped? According to the Bible, you have to spend the rest of your life with the man who raped you.

The Prophet Muhammad Says {Volume 9, Book 86, Number 101} Narrated by Aisha:"It is essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the marriage)".

Would the Non-Muslim men reading this prefer the Women they know to be Christian or Muslim?

no, seriously, i have the best and most true answer to this- more and more people are converting to Islam as they know hellfire is hot and they don't want to end up in it. full stop.
and as for all these comments people are making about Muslim countries- read your own comments and you'll understand- you're generalising about COUNTRIES where Islam has become distorted because of the dominating men- whereas really our religion is peaceful and gives EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES to both men and women.

I believe that Adam's sin was first, in that he was not there to protect Eve and did not stop her. As men, we have failed to protect our wives by sins of omission, and this is an example of that.

2. The Bible says "The Birth of a Daughter is a loss" {Ecclesiasticus 22:3}.

Ecclesiates only goes to Chapter 12. There is no "Ecclesiates 22:3"

3. The Bible forbids women from speaking in church {I Corinthians 14:34-35}.

Dr. Gilbert Bilzekian has written many a word addressing this, and it is one of much discussion among Christians today. However, it is hardly reason to dismiss Christianity!

4. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as an Adulteress, not men {Matthew 5:31-32}

Boy, did you mis-interpret this one! It says "everyone who divorces his wife, except for immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery." Forcing someone into a life of sin is also sin. Men aren't "getting away with anything" here.

That's because back in the day only men could own property. It was a legal thing and not exclusive to Christianity.

The Bible doesn't "allow" for multiple wives! The very verse you quote is tellin the story of how much trouble Solomon got into for having so many wives and is holding it out as an example of why NOT to have multiple wives!

In other verses in the Bible, it is clear: one man, one wife.

The idea here is that the act of sex combines souls together. Hey, it sucks all around--I agree. The idea of this (old Jewish law) was to preseve purity in the marriage relationship. At the time, purity was very important to the world (I think it still is today).

Most of the women in churches I have spoken to would have no problem with men continuting to be "head of household" if men would actually do the job. In the days this was written, men did the job--not great, but they did it.

Today, men tend to not do the job of "head of household" very well. Because of that, gender roles have become more mixed than they were in the days the Bible was written.

But I have to ask: so what's wrong exactly with women having to wear a head covering? Lots of women wear hats inside!

This is a political issue, not a religious one. Incidentally, the original ideas at the US Constitutional Convention was to have only property-owners get to vote.

Why are so many pople becoming Muslims? Because they are INTELLECTUALLY as well as emotionally and spiritually convinced that Islam is the one true religion. www.harunyahya.com gives you proof that the Quran is God's word.

Paul MacDonald tried to explain some of the anomolies in the Bible- but he kept commenting "thats a legal issue, not christian". Dont you know English Law was TOTALLY based on Christianity? There was no division between Church and State so the fact that women were not allowed to vote was a Christian law.

You just educated me. I was under the impression that Islam had very little respect for women because of the whole "not leaving the house without a male relative and veil" thing, but now I suspect that such treatment is a symptom of what happens when church and state aren't separated, rather than a fault in Mohammed's teachings themselves. I have no wish to convert, but I think I now have a better understanding of what it means to be a mainstream Muslim.

Anyway, your comparisons between the bible and the Qu'ran really make me believed that there is a God, and the history is all true for the comparisons are somehow a little similar.

If all this is true, why do women in Muslim countries walk around with veils, no access to their husbands money or property, are literally pushed out of the way in a line if a man steps into the same line, are beaten in the streets by strange men for the smallest of infractions and denied access to education as well as the right to vote?
