The best religion is the one which shows you how to care your aged parents and their rights on you as they fed you when you were infant.
Due to lack of Religious learning and leaning, a lot of scamsters

I am a Muslim and ofcourse believe it is the best religion, but I could never judge any religion that exists. I read about other religions and think this one is the most logical religion of all. I would even convert if I were born into a family of different religion. I also want to add that Islam is the religion people are mostly converting to these days and believe that is a positive sign, becuase it a healthy, logical and very understanding religion.

If you really want to know, you may have to take a close look at all of them and decide what appeals to your heart. Unfortunately, the very vast majority of human beings ( say, 99% ?) simply inherit it from their parents and blindly follow it as the best and often as the 'only truth'. The result of this narrow minded attitude, with regard to religion, is the cause of the great chaos in the present day world with religions separating human family from each other. The question can be asked, why humans can't take Nature as the religion. Nature creates us all including plants and animals. All the wonders of creation belongs to Nature. People can't fight claiming ownership of Nature. It is really all encompassing, omnipotent, omnipresent, majestic, mysterious etc. etc.
I do not belong to any one popular religion, but would say that when I took a close look at most popular religions, I found that Buddhism is miles ahead of most of the religions with Hinduism and Judaism behind.

I refuse to push my beliefs on anyone who does not care to hear my opinions. And so I would have to say that the Worst religion should be any religion that condemns people that are not of that faith. Any religion that casts all who disbelieve into "hell" is backward in their thinking and evolution. Any religion that would make a person feel guilty for their sexuality and humanness should be the worst. I will not postulate that my religion is best; I know that it is best for me, and you do not fit into my shoes. The best religion depends on who is doing the questioning, not the answering. Jesus taught "Know Thyself." I am Wiccan, raised Catholic, and I am a seeker of enlightenment. I strive to know myself. Let's see the bible thumpers of the world out there claim to be in process of knowing themselves- most of them don't even look inside, they take what the preacher says and don't even question it. Any religion that discourages questioning their teachings will eventually fall into itself. Blessed Be.
Also, I feel compelled to state that all religions are manmade. We have created God in our own image. do you think that the creator has arms, legs, ears? The all needn't these things. We, on the other hand, do. The Lord and Lady look like people in my mind. But the creator- a big bright white ball of love energy. All religions are man made. Otherwise there would be no religion at all.

Imagine-
John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religon too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

Imagine no possesions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
In a brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say i'm a dreamer
But i'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

The best religion is the feelings that you have everyday . If you have a good heart and warm spirit you do not have to give away what is it now 15 to 25 % of your income to a church . You can worship God just as easily in your own home as you can at a place where you pay to believe in God .So , the best religion is the way that you feel inside .

The best Religion according to me is Hinduism. Not just because I am a Hindu but it is the only religion that has no date of birth (have you ever wondered that while every religion has a specific date of it's starting e.g. Jesus was born in 26 B.C {I suppose}, Muhammad in 622 A.D., Siddhartha Gautama {The Buddha} in 563 B.C, Confucius also round that time{Founder of Confucianism}, Mahavira{Founder of jainism} also was born around that time, Guru Nanak{Founder of Sikhism} in 1469 A.D, but Hinduism is "Anadi and Anant" meaning it did'nt have a begining or an end. It is one of the most comlpex Religions of the world.and is the third most followed in the world after Islam and Christianity. A devout hindu is unique in many ways.( e.g. he is a vegetarian, tells the truth, is afraid of sin) and leads a life strictly according to the scriptures. Another thing that sets hindus apart from others is their belief in Reincarnation, Karma Theory(which means "as you sow so shall you reap") and Life after Death. Hindus believe that there are 8,400,000 species of life and we are born in any one of them depending on our deeds in our previous lives. That is why hindus are so religious and pious and are afraid of committing sin. One reason for the presence of numerous temples( There are more than 30,000 temples in the state of Tamil Nadu alone) in india is the devout nature of the hindus. Foreigners and invaders have been considered by Hindus as "mlechchas" or unclean and Foreign religions as "mlechcha dharma". One reason maybe that many of them eat beef, drink, are not truthful etc. So I think that Hinduism was, is and will be the best religion of all times cause it stresses on acheiving "moksha" or salvation as the main aim of a human being instead of indulging in animal pleasures. Have a nice day.

The Bible is NOT truth! It's politically bastardized moral propangada intended to control and hearts, minds, and bodies of it's Xtian slaves. Truth comes to those who bother to seek the answers for themselves - not abstain from eating meat on Friday or pre-marital sex... or even... DUNT DUNT DAH... homosexual behavior (*gasp*), because as you know, if the Bible didn't say that homosexuality is wrong, then we'd all be gay... right?! And those that believe that violating the biblical teaching of 'judge not lest ye be judged' to instead be judgmental of others in the name of 'God's will' is the worst part. So now you ignore what your own Bible actually says because apparently your bigoted asses feel instead that you know God *wants* you to be hateful towards 'his enemies' (who could simultaneously seen as his *children* in - and parents protect their children no matter what don't they).

And those that justify hatred through the Bible show clearly that they don't actually know anything about the book or its context, instead using it as a tool of their own self-interest. Self-justification by proxy... you call it faith... the rest of us call you simple at best and terrorists (political and literal) at worst.

Xtianity slaughtered millions of Pagans on its road to global dominance and still to this day demands adherence to their faith of the people worldwide they are supposedly 'helping' (i.e. missionaries). Its also Xtians that are also afraid of the growing reach of Islam and who wanted Bush to start a war in Iraq to that end only to watch it implode into near civil war. And it was Catholics that decided during WWII to 'turn the other cheek' so to speak when it ignored the pleas of millions of Jews during the holocost. Geez! God forbid the church helps its rivals as millions are being tortured, tested on, and gassed! They might become a threat someday!

Religion is only the social component of spirituality and philosophy - an idea a which growing number of people (thank Goddess) are finally starting to become aware of. So stop trying to 'be like everyone else' and have an original thought! If you were hanging out with a bunch of thiefs or murderers would you think that was cool too if enough people thought so? Be realistic people. Herd mentality should never substitute for your own mentality. So forget religion and find your own truth!

Personally, I follow a path combining elements of Wicca, Asatru, Shamanism, humanism, druidism, and causality (karma), but I have no specific alligences to any of these groups. Many, many Pagans practice solitary which is why we don't have the political power that the Xtian sheep seem to. Have fun being herded into the fire followers!

PS: If Jesus jumped off a bridge, would you? How about the Pope?

PPS: To 'Priscilla' who posted about 3 pages of biblical nonsense to justify God's existance - if the bible were a person in court it would be considered a biased witness and inadmissable, no? Therefore scripture is inadmissable into this argument. Get a life!

Mine. Everybody else is condemned to roast in the fires of Hell for all eternity.

Seriously, I believe that God is such a monumental truth and presence in our lives that no single theology can adequately describe Him. I believe that various denominations capture only a portion of His glory and wisdom.

That being said, I would offer that the Episcopal Church provides the best option. It is not mired in orthodoxy, but rather an ongoing exploration of our relation with God and what it means to be children of God.

Due to vast perspacives of the human race, there are only religions that work best for the individual. Thus, there really is no best religion.

I go to a nondenominational and went to differnt churchs as a kid
luthern, methadist and non denominational. to be honest it is not the kind you choose it is the minister. the trueth is if you believe god loves you and gave for and you are truelly tring to be a good person then that matters the most. those who are true and dedicated to god and jesus are doing well. Being a part of a church is so meaningless if you don't except God and Jesus into your life.
