are actually anti - illegal or are they just posting these outrageous responses and questions to get a rise out of people. I am not trying to offend I am honestly curious because if they really are people that hateful I will be deeply saddened.

I did not say that I did not understand illegal. You are reading things into my question that are not there. i just want to know id people are honestly anti illegal or just trying to shake things up. I am just curious again not tryig to offend anyone so why do you have to offend me? Why all the hatred I didnt do anything wrong?

thank you dmerrinn so far you ar ethe only one who has actually answered my question which for all you other has nothing to do with opinions on the issue. I just want to know if people are honestly that hateful to other human beings, I know the arguments for or against so I don't them repeated.

I married an illegal and please dont offend me because that was my choice. I am not offending anyone for their opinion I just want honest answers not hateful ones

Most of these places on the internet that I've experienced have a lot of writers like the ones on this site. Maybe they are as angry as they seem, but it may be that the internet is so anonymous that it's a place to feel a power one doesn't usually feel in the real world, where one has to see the consequences of one's hurtful statements to others, and, of course, where one also has to face the consequences of saying things that make others angry.
But there are usually cool heads out there, too.

Only a fool or a person that can't think agrees with an illegal entry into our Nation. AND.....Life has taught me that these same fools are the first to complain when you try to cut in line at the grocery store....well.....isnt that what the illegal mexicans are doing??...sucking up our benifits before us LEGAL Americans can use them??....when these same fools try to collect Social Security some day and the pot is dry, they can then thank their own thinking when the illegals were NOT paying taxes to help support America.....and my previous posts prove that jobs are available in Mexico for them, they choose to run over the border to the USA, then they have rallies to insult us here???.....there are good posts that explain what this country is going through financially due to trying to support the illegal clowns and the whiplash will be felt onto my Grandchildren....being a world traveler, and not by choice, has shown me that other countries would NEVER allow such activities.....and as a side note, there are JOBS available in Mexico, so doing the jobs we wont is a bunch of crap.

I am truly anti criminal, anti illegal. Any true American is. Who wants their country infested with trash who constantly disrespects us as a nation and as a people? Decent immigrants are a good thing but the illegals you see coming from Mexico think we owe them something. Most of them are worthless garbage who just take and take and never put back into the system and then insult us. I really am anti-illegal, especially when it comes to them.

I think most are anti law breakers. Not because they hate certain people but because of the results of a flood (mass) of people coming here-it has put a strain on us. One wouldn't have to look far for that strain. Schools are overcrowded and want more money. Hospitals have closed and some had to borrow money to keep a float. State benefit programs -many States had to borrow from others. California -bankrupt. This causes many problems to programs here for our poor. I could go on and on. It is not that the people mean to be trouble it is just the results.
It hurts many here. So in helping others we are hurting others. I could write a book on everything that is effected.
That is why if laws were enforced-others would not be hurt.
It is hard to choose between the two. But we must. My feelings are take care of who we have first-than reach out. Poor is poor and we have plenty here who need help.
Would you feed your poor neighbors kids and let yours starve? Not likely-but it has come down to this for many.
One would not have to go far on the pots or web to see this is happening. The flood coming in has caused many problems.
I don't think hate is the problem as much as the other. Although some disrespect has been shown on both sides.
My advise to you would to get your husband legal before things turn, If you both pay taxes-documentation-will be a plus. If he hasn't yet-do so this year-as self employed-money earn (yes you will owe)
It saddens many to have to say no-but many have to take care of others too. We do not have an endless pot of gold.

with no passports or visas, they are commiting a crime and in some nations of the world, the border guards are authorized to

Of course I am anti-illegal. Anyone who is pro-illegal is shooting themselves in the foot. Why would anyone condone people who break our laws?
Would you like it if someone broke into your home and decided to stay and eat your food and use up all your stuff? Wouldn't you call the cops to get him out? What if the cops refused to do anything? You'd have a permanent guest that you'd have to take care of and who would probably demand that you speak their language instead of your own.

Well, I'm anti-illegal and it isn't to get a rise out of anyone. There is a legal way to immigrate to the US. If people choose to do it illegally, they are choosing to be criminals.

I am against anyone who violates the law to be here, breaking many laws to remain here (ID, SS#s, etc) and thinks they are above the law and that the law shouldn't apply to them and act as if we owe them something. It is NOT racist or hateful to stand up for what is right and DEMAND that our laws be upheld and enforced. ILLEGALS are criminals and are NOT wanted in this country
