Zoologists have noticed a dramatic rise in cat sadism (disembowelled mice left on doorsteps, etc). On conducting psychometric testing on a random selection of cats it was discovered that most cats believe that violence IS the answer and gives a meaning and purpose to their lives. The zoological researchers recommended that the criminal cats were given some form of community service. Waiting for Godot in particular was recommended so that, through empathising with their characters, the cats would come to understand:

1. that there is no immanent meaning to their behaviour, that this meaning could only be ascribed by the one who interprets their behaviour

2. that the one who appears on the doorstep is not necessarily the one to whom your actions are addressed.

3. that the one to whom their actions are addressed does not necessarily understand their behaviour (What the hell is this disembowelled mouse doing here?)

4. that violence generates a vicious cycle that makes the perpetrator no happier than the victim

I think they are waiting for Godot.

But that was just an excuse to say I love your photo! It's my favourite picture of Damon Albarn, and that's saying something because they are all wonderful. You've got great taste.
