If you are in Iraq you are dying for nothing. Most of America is against the war. Iraq did not do 9-11. ( How many Iraqi people were aboard those planes?) Fighting in Iraq is not fighting for my freedom....or lack of freedom. The Iraq war is based on lies and there are no WMD. Also, if you are killed today you are news for one day, buried in four days, and then forgotten forever. Well, You might get a black wall with your name on it. But that's about it.

But it isn't the truth, Paco. Regardless of how 'most' Americans feel, the war was indeed the right thing to do.

As for Iraq and 9-11, nobody ever said that Iraq did 9-11. The only place I've ever heard it is from you people saying that we think this. Will you ever stop telling this lie?

The war is not about 'freedom'. Not sure which orifice you pulled that one out of. It is about removing a despotic and murderous tyrant who was defying the UN and who was supporting terrorist groups, including al Qaeda. This was done to remove his destabilizing presence and to shut down a major source of terrorist support. This helps our national security and our 'freedom' from having jihadist sheeplovers from killing us.

Uh, genius, there were and are WMD. Can't you stop lying? What is it with you people and the constant lies?

The funniest aspect of this is that you think you are smarter than the military when the truth is exactly the opposite. The military know exactly what is going on and why it is going on. You see, people whose lives are put in the firing line are very interested in all the facts, not the Democrat talking point 'facts'. They volunteered to join, and know what the soldiers' lot is. They accept this.

They don't need some snotnose punk idiot talking nonsense to them.

Erudite: How many times do I have to tell the military that this is the truth?
Answer: None. They don't believe you, we don't believe you. You are acting like a soapbox preacher and wondering why they don't treat you like the Messiah.

Erudite: If you are in Iraq you are dying for nothing.

Answer: You just told the thousands of troops that all the work they have done building schools, building utility buildings, hospitals, etc., is worthless. That is a lie. Facing the terrorists who are now using Iraq as their battleground is essential. We must fight them somewhere, President Bush chose Iraq because they attacked us.

Erudite: Most of America is against the war.

Answer: We, Americans, do not base our political decisions on your opinion or the opinion of polls, no matter who runs them. We base it on the most effective poll of all. VOTING. The majority does want this war, and showed it clearly with their vote.

Erudite: Iraq did not do 9-11. ( How many Iraqi people were aboard those planes?)

Answer: Neither did Switzerland, but for some reason the seditious and socialists keep saying this. It is a nonsense argument. Only they are deluded enough to think that ANYONE thinks that 9/11 is related to Iraq. They are like a crazy man saying, "Don't go to work! It has nothing to do with fighting sin!" It's kind of crazy, but they keep doing it.

Erudite: Fighting in Iraq is not fighting for my freedom....or lack of freedom.

Answer: It's not for YOUR freedom. You don't want freedom. It's for ours, and our children's freedom. We don't really give a darn about you or people like you that constantly undermine our country and hate America.

Erudite: The Iraq war is based on lies and there are no WMD.

Answer: WMDs were there, were claimed to exist by Saddam to his own allies within a month of the invasion. Saddam played hide and seek with the inspectors for a decade, and you expect us to be psychic. We did find gas containers that were not accounted for by Saddam, and hundreds of large transport vehicles were documented leaving Iraq before the invasion. Great, one of our reasons, though supported by President Clinton (whom I respect) and others, may have been in error. The seditious America haters want you to think in single line ways. "WMDs were the only reason!" "9/11 terrorists were the only reason!"

I hope that isn't the way they intend to run the government!

Erudite: Also, if you are killed today you are news for one day, buried in four days, and then forgotten forever. Well, You might get a black wall with your name on it. But that's about it.

Answer: They don't fight for fame. You'll get more fame than some of them simply by having plastered your name all over this site. They fight for Honor. You seem to be lacking in that. Big surprise.

I'm sorry, do have some inside connection to the Government that the rest of us don't? I mean you seem to know so much, so tell us where you're getting your information. You say the Iraq war is based on lies, you do realize that is not a fact but only your opinion.
Our soldiers don't join the military to get their names all over the news, even if they do die. That's what makes these men and women so amazing. They are willing to die for what they believe in, ( Which includes getting mad men like Saddam out of power so he can't continue to kill his own innocent people) but they are willing to receive no attention for it.
You may forget the soldiers that have died in Iraq, but I can assure you their families and loved ones never will, and either will grateful Americans.

While I do agree this war was a huge mistake, I don't think that we should say our soldiers die for nothing. They die serving our country while the rest of us sit back and watch. They don't get to decide where and when they fight, our elected officials do. If you want to place blame on someone, place it on the American public for supporting this administration's ever changing lies. They have ties to Al Qeada... no wait its for WMD..... no its so they will be free from a brutal dictator (not that this war has claimed more Iraqi life than Saddam ever did). When the country decends into civil war I wonder what the next reason will be.

Think about it for a second. The military's job is to support of the national interests of the United States. The people of the US decide what our national interests are by voting for the commander-in-chief. Diplomacy is our first effort which affects the adversary’s will to fight. The military takes out the capability to fight. You don't need to tell the military anything. If you believe that the national interest of the United States has changed to "surrender", then take your cut-and-run message to the voting booth, and if the rest of the nation agrees with you through the electoral process, the military, indirectly, will support the new national interests by following once again what the commander-in-chief tells them to do. In the meantime, sleep well, they are out there protecting YOU whether you like it or not.

My family has fought in every war America has experienced, and one time on both sides (1861-1865) in the Brothers' War, as some call it. Therefore, I know the value of supporting the troops who often have no choice about what they are ordered to do. The draftees of the past certainly had no choice because they were ordered to go to war. Soldiers who volunteered CAN be said to have had a choice, which they exercised in favor of serving in our military forces. With all of that said, it is the duty of citizens to use their right of freedom of speech. If citizens believe any particular war is not justified, or is unwise, he/she has a duty to say so. To do otherwise is to disregard our rights as American citizens. Such people are the genuine patriots, unlike others who use their brains only for the purpose of filling up their skulls.

This question hurts!!!! I know my son Michael didn't get hurt for nothing. I know my son was doing his job while others sat back and bad mouth America and the Military and I know I can walk out in public with my head held high and be proud of who and what my son is. He is a Marine!! And a damn good Marine ! He takes pride in his country.

And I will NEVER EVER forget my son's young friends who was killed or wounded.

Once a Marine always a Marine!! And all Marines are brothers so that makes me a Marine mom to millions of men and women.

Also I know my brother-n-law ( Army ) is in Iraq fighting for what he believes in. Not fighting cause someone tells him what to believe in.

And I'm sorry but I just don't understand how anyone can set back in their safe home drinking cold drinks and eating real food can put down our Military. It just breaks my heart every time I see or hear someone slandering the troops that are fighting for their lives everyday! It's not like they are over their playing a game. This is for real!! REAL BULLETS and REAL BOMBS not play toys.

Maybe some don't want to be over there but they are doing their jobs just like you and me are everyday even if we don't won't to.

The young men and women in the military that you are referring to are doing their jobs, so that people like you (and all over the world) can have the freedom to sit at their computers and make uneducated and juvenile statements.
They are doing their job so that you can have the freedom....or lack of freedom to make callous remarks about my son, someones father, mother or child.

What will you get when you die? A black wall with your name on it? Will you be remembered?
I doubt it.
