Yes batteries are allowed on an aircraft, and you won't get "strip searched" as some ignorant people think.

I have a feeling that you'll be strip searched no matter what you try to sneak on board an aircraft. If you want to kill yourself, by all means, go ahead. Just try not to take anyone valuable with you. Take some of your OWN countrymen with you.

yes. think about this, laptop batteries are used on planes all the time, they are the same as digital camera batteries just bigger.
