First, Penguin Gal is a woman of fine taste... but she needs to leave California once in a while. For white, it's gotta be Drouhin or Ramonet Montrachet; for reds (besides the lovely suggestions by Penguin Gal):

theres this wine in australia i had when i went there for a holiday, its called coolabah but they call it goon, its nice with o.j, but it makes you sick the next day,so drink it if you wanna hangover,its real cheap too
