If it's pieces of chicken, then I prefer the breasts. A delicious recipe I have is Chicken Breasts stuffed with Haggis. It is cheap and relatively easy to prepare.
If one has a whole chicken, then I prefer it roast and then I like the thigh meat, or the contrast of breast and thigh together.
The wings and drumsticks have so little meat relative to the amount of bone and sinew that I always find them a bit of a pain and messy to eat on a barbecue.
If one does have to barbecue them, then boil them first for about 10 mins to make sure they are cooked. Cool them and coat them in a barbecue sauce and brown them on a hot fire. They take a lot less time, they are more succulent and you can be sure that your guests won't die of food poisoning. The liquid they were boiled in becomes a base for a soup - waste not, want not!
Otherwise all the difficult bits (and the skin and carcase of a roast chicken) make excellent soup. When boiling chicken, throw a handful of parsley in the pan (along with an onion and carrot) to make the smell less unpleasant. If making soup from wings and drumsticks, roast them in the oven first for a better flavour.

Healthy - Chicken breast. It is so versatile (grilled, stir fry, soup, Parmesan)
Not-So-Healthy - Wings! Buffalo style, garlic, sweet and sour, dipped in bleu cheese dressing with carrots and celery on the side to take off the heat. YummY!

I have found the thighs to be the most versatile in cooking. They are flavorful, quick cooking, juicy, and inexpensive. They can stand up to long crockpot cooking, and can also be completely cooked in a quick saute. They are perfect for Chinese cooking, BBQ, stews, soups, casseroles... the list is long. They don't need to be marinated, but take on the marinade flavor quite well.

I like the drumsticks and the thighs, mostly dark meat because it is juicier. White meat tends to be dry. Of course the dark meat is fattier (just my luck) but if you bake it, it isn't as bad as fried chicken.
