Head down to devon. They have beautidul beaches all around. Loads of boat trips and beautiful walks. There are so many beaches you are bound to find some that are not as busy as the main ones.

If you go to the Isle of Wight you wont be dissapointed becasue you are surrounded by and never more than 15 minutes from coastal cliff side beaches and bustling towns. I grew up there so I reccomend, if you dont want crowded, Ventnor and Freshwater and Compton Bay (good for surfing). And if you want a secret white sand beach try Priory Bay, not mnay people know about it so its the perfect place!!

Try Whitby, North Yorkshire, UK (my home town).......... not only is there 3 miles of beach + also the North Yorkshire Moors Railway nearby (including GOATHLAND STATION, which was used as "HOGSMEADE" in the HARRY POTTER movie).... the place has also been voted by WHICH? magazine as Britain's best resort.
+ it's also become a favourite vacation spot for Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow, apparently.
For more info check out:

or my reviews at http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/65d99/
other nearby locations include:
Thornton-le-Dale (one of the prettiest villages in England)
City of York..... home to the world's largest Railway museum, the Ancient City walls, and many other features.

isle of barra in the outer hebridies. when the weather is good it could be the carribean. you can go for days without seeing anyone. it is a small place that is easily connected to the other islands with equally beautiful beaches. it is definatly worth a visit and the people are great to.

On the North coast of bonnie Scotland near Durness, very quiet and so beautiful, the water is turquoise and the sand white.
