"A delicacy is not really a true delicacy at all unless it involves something patently disgusting. At Champor-Champor, they serve pan-fried duck breast coated in kopi luak. Kopi luak are coffee beans that have been excreted from the **** of an Asian palm civet. This is a creature that looks a bit like Davina McCall: all bright-eyed and sweet-pelted, neat little claws and pointy ears. It hangs around the fruit trees of Java eating coffee beans and, every so often, taking a dump. At which point, the steaming mound is descended upon by eager Indonesian entrepreneurs with rustic pooper-scoopers. Later, they pick the beans out of the ordure and send them off to decadent western countries, where they retail at about £500 for 500g. Nice work if you can get it."

Weasel Coffee: This is possibly one of the strangest coffees to be found on the planet! Wild Weasels roam the coffee plantations and eat the ripe coffee beans, but rather than digest them the weasel regurgitates them and vomits them up! Due to the fact the cherries have been in the weasels gastric juices, it seems to dramatically alter the taste of the coffee once brewed.

Civet Coffee: This is the rarest and most definitely extraordinary coffee in the world!. Civet, or Kopi Luwak as it is known, is considered to be the finest coffee by native Sumatrans. Kopi Luwak has a rich chocolate like flavour and no aftertaste, which is unique. This flavour is due to the fact the coffee has been partially fermented by passing through the digestive system of the Palm Civet Cat. Only about 50 kilos of this coffee is collected per year making it the ultimate in uniqueness and rarity!
